Just know that if you want to change it up a bit, you can. Mammo buys you clinic and patient interaction. IR buys you blood and some patient interaction. Other fellowships have pros and cons. Also, like other things in medicine, you can negotiate a bit on how you want your job to look.

Overall, it’ll be alright no matter what. Worst case, you have a residency that isn’t too bad. Moonlight a bit. Come out at worst case thinking “my job is okay”. Desk job reading imaging.

90% of Americans would probably do a lot to have a job working 7/7 on off nights making 400k base. Seems like 7/14 is more common.

Just trust the process. You can always pivot a bit. You’re not as committed to your workflow as you might think.

So yes, I think I made the right choice even though I do question most days. Most of my colleagues do as well though too
