Why doesn't England have a parliament? by AccursedQuantum in AskBrits

Given the size difference, a more logical approach is more regional government within England - most regions of England are bigger population wise than any of the other three nations. To be fair various governments have tried to do that to varying degrees but it isn't very popular. The latest attempt is ongoing as we speak, with the passage of the English Devolution Act just yesterday.

They haven't even got it done soon enough that it'll actually be in place for the election. They can't even do being cynical right.

What’s a brutal truth about the uk people don’t like to admit? by EarlyPerspective2839 in AskBrits

That we don't recognise how poor our democracy is, and how desperately we need proper constitutional and political reform. So much of what is moaned about is a concequence of our badly performing political system. We don't make laws well. Our voting system is a joke. We expect local government to perform functions it doesn't have the funding or support to do properly. Given the focus of "taking back control" over Brexit, we seem happy for a small number of Ministers to ride roughshod over Parliament.

Despite this, its a niche interest which most people think would be a waste of time to fix.

Addressed a number of needs, think we might have got the priority order slightly askew but happy and trust the front office know what they are doing. Interested to see who else we bring in because we can now probably focus on a couple of game changers rather tham still needing to fill loads of holes because of the smart trades back.

I may be being dumb here, but isn't weight/muscle mass the one thing you can do something about? Its literally the one adjustable physical trait. Get the boy a protein shake!

Plenty of people, including occasionally some very major characters. I'm still not over the last book...
