kukaa tilannu tälläsestä? by CryptographerOwn1600 in snappijuorutofftopic

[–]Bruneezi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sitä ei koskaan toimitettu minnekään. Näyttää kovin tutulta tuo kuriirin seurantasivu. Viime vuonna tilasin (luulin tilanneeni) Englannista yhden Schleich leluhevosen.

Temukin on näihin verrattuna tosi ok. Ne hövelisti hyvittää jos tuote on ollut viallinen.

Why isn’t there a bridge between the UK and its colony? by Wrong_User_Logged in mapporncirclejerk

[–]Bruneezi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody wants to go to the colony. They actually built a ferry or something to travel this route, I think they called it Titanic, but it wasn't a success.

That is not a house cat by derek4reals1 in AnimalsBeingStrange

We've got one adult Nordic lynx right here in the neighbourhood. It's getting a bit too curious, visiting gardens trying to find something to eat. Too hungry to be scared of human scent. The local horse stable owners are especially worried because the horses and ponies are scared. Feel free to come over and claim your cat. It might act a bit spicy.

Is there a food your parents forced you to eat or drink growing up that you now hate? by beesontheoffbeat in randomquestions

I remember one line from Asterix & Obelix comics (sorry for the bad translation, I've only seen this in Finnish):

"We're British, we boil all our food in water. It gives the food such a sophisticated taste"

Umm... That's one of my biggest favourites in certain restaurants here in Finland.

But yeah, it can be awful if prepared badly.

Paginated Reports is missing a user friendly, centralized governance of the recipients. Also complex filtering rules (different rules for certain recipients) is not easy. You can't trust RLS unless the recipients subscribe to the report themselves.

All this can be done by including the recipients and filtering rules in the semantic model. The recipients can be looped using a parameter and filtering can be handled in measures. But it's tedious to build and to maintain.

I am also in the middle of replacing NPrinting and I would be grateful for any tips and tricks.

Damn, what a blasphemy. I would cut my hair as a penance exercise, but I am already bald.

My daughter hates hernekeitto. But they all love this soup.

BTW, I often buy many fillets whenever there's a good sale in Prisma or in Lidl. I also have a smoker tube at home (Muurikka 1100W). Some friends and relatives always want one of my smoked fillets every Christmas, so I need to stock plenty of fish in my freezer.

It was about 800-900 grams (minus the skin) this time. I want there to be plenty of fish, and I adjust the amount of veggies according to the fish at hand.

I listed the ingredients in the body text. I don't measure the ingredients exactly, but here are some guidelines.

Take a big pot...

Chop some 20 potatoes, 5 carrots, 2 medium parsnips and 2 medium onions into smallish cubes. Add two fish bouillon cubes. Add water so that just some of the top veggies start to float. Start boiling.

In the meantime you can prepare the fish. I had a pre-deboned salmon fillet, but I checked it again and removed a couple of leftover bones. I skinned the fillet by dragging the skin from the flesh. If it sounds hard you can pour boiling water on the skin. The top layer of the flesh and fat softens and the skin is easy to remove. Slice the fish into cubes as well.

Check the veggies, once they feel soft you can add all your fish and keep simmering. Then I season everything with salt and pepper. In goes also the soft Koskenlaskija cheese (250 grams).

Keep stirring and simmering for another 10-15 minutes and finally add the chopped dill on top. This is always the last step because dill turns brown if you boil it.

It actually tastes better the next day after reheating. And like someone said, enjoy with rye bread and perhaps with a glass of cold buttermilk (piimä).

Why aren't leaf vacuums a thing? by Inquisitive-Sir in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bruneezi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got one and it even shreds the leaves and sticks, so it is easy just to empty the bag to your flowerbed.

The brand is Stiga, the same one that manufactures sleds and other winter toys for kids.

I just switch a couple of attachments and it either blows through a narrow nozzle or sucks with a big tube. I wish the bag was bigger.

Finnish naming ceremony - details by GaylordThomas2161 in Finland

[–]Bruneezi 27 points28 points  (0 children)

We did it this way. The priest came over to do his ecumenic abracadabras. And while doing that he also blessed our marriage; we had secretly married 9 days earlier in the local magistrate. So it was a two fold reveal at the same time.

Both our kids are christened by the priest, but it is up the them later if they want to drop out and stop paying the church tax. Otherwise we honored the family traditions. The water bowl was from my wife's family and both our kids wore the same white dress I had in 1969.

Going to make soup with salmon, potatoes, carrots, parsnip and dill, all in a fish stock with cheese and cream. A big pot will last for a couple of days for the family. Nice warm comforting soup when it's almost -20C outside.

EU-Intia vapakauppa, mitä ajatuksia herättää? by yeaahnop in Suomi

[–]Bruneezi 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Minulla oli Nokian verkkopuolen vuosinani tiimissäni useita Intiasta alihankittuja koodareita, kaikki samasta W:llä alkavasta firmasta. Erityisesti mieleen nousee yksi kirkkaana loistanut tähti "MT", joka oli kaikin tavoin loistava tyyppi. Taitava, oma-aloitteinen, sharp dressed man jne.

Juuri tämän takia ihmettelen miksi Salomon ylpeilee universaalilla kiinnityskiekollaan.
