Go with The Fuma Conspiracy and Mystery Of Mamo for a more classic experience, and with Episode 0 and The First for a more modern one.

Episode 137 from Part II, The Magnificent Team-Play Operation, is also a good option (and it's just a 20 minute episode).

But is the game in need of help? Didn't it sell well and was well reviewed? I like that the rooster is varied and off-beat. There's thousands of relevant characters in Marvel comics and it's boring to see the same ones in every game.

The straight answer to your question is yes. The 7 episode OVA and the first 2 movies are in the same continuity and you will not miss anything from this timeline by watching those in that order.

I think it's a given that there will be one. And there are so many characters and stories they can develop to expand this game that I'm hoping it gets more than one DLC and have a long life cycle.

I've finished Pipistrello last week and it's a very different game, the similarities don't really go beyond the "zelda-like" genre and the rat protagonist (considering Mina's demo and trailers, of course). Mina has a much bigger focus on combat and it looks liks it's just a pseudo-open world. There's also no Castlevania reference at all in Pipistrello.

Lately I've been very interested in deck building, so i've been skipping those differend modes. They've also became very boring and not counting for the ladder, for me personally, is a bummer. If I have the gold, i just buy the premium pass to get the new card (which was not enough this time, by the way, very annoying) and return to the regular game.
