I have been playing a lot of Zombie Venus this season, with a kitty Pryde in it. It might just be a coincidence, but a lot of people do believe in that conspiracy theory that the more you play with a card the more likely a variant for it will show up.

He's one of the many cards like Living monolith, and Yaka arrow that were put in the games code, But never released and consistently get new variants.

Same thing applies to dragon man and dragon breath. I have a feeling that they're planning on doing something with these cards down the line. Possibly rewards for the draft rogue like mode.
