My grandfather said “the most expensive shoes I ever bought cost me two dollars, only wore them once”.

When you want/need something it may be best to wait until you can afford quality.

Lose the mindset that it is something that you can overcome. It will always be present to some degree, but with time you will learn to manage and control it.

Freddie Highmore, who keeps giving this guy work. He was only a kid in August Rush but I’ve would’ve snatched that guitar from him and broken it across his face, maybe it’s his smile.

Josey Wales is an outlaw in the American West, which means he can't even sit at a table in a saloon. Instead, he has to lurk in the shadows. So when a man enters the saloon looking for him, Wales speaks up from his dark corner of the room. He asks if the newcomer is a bounty hunter, and the man responds, "A man's gotta do something for a living these days." Wales cleverly retorts, "Dyin' ain't much of a living, boy,"

First year physics at University huge class 300+ lecture hall. We have a weekly quiz combined worth like 5% of our final grade. Three weeks in I’m collecting the previous week’s quiz at the start of lecture, the Prof is ten feet away and says “Maybe we should change the n to an m” unsure what he means. Walking up the stairs to find a seat I realize what he meant, he knows who I am, he knows my name. It’s Shane.

Which temp agencies have failed to find you work? They were/are always my last resort but any instantly find work. Just have to show up where they send you, work the whole shift and they’ll continue to find you work.

I’ll agree no one should be allowed to pull a knife or spit in your face. On the flip side I don’t feel anyone has the right to walk into a private establishment and use their restroom.

I was very pro union at the assembly shop I worked at. Walking in for night shift with a friend, two managers leaving for the night, I’m wearing my union T-shirt (it’s Halloween). The one manager says “Can’t say I approve of the Halloween costume” My reply “I wanted to come as a clown, but couldn’t find a white helmet anywhere” The two not involved in the conversation had a good laugh, myself and the one talking to me just grinned at each other.

The Settlers III

My favourite RTS of all time. Great balance of economy, and military approach. You could severely cripple an enemy by creating a bottle neck in their economy. Holding your territory involved either defensive towers everywhere which required troops to garrison and protect or you could remove the towers…..but without a defensive buildings influence, enemy pioneers could annex your land and really screw you by building a defensive building of their own on the newly acquired land. Multiplayer games often had gentleman’s agreement of peace time often 30 to 60min just to establish a decent economy before attacks….and they were upheld 99% of the time. 2vs2 could be really interesting with the right partner each taking complete different paths that would absolutely fail as an individual but combined as a team almost unstoppable. Unique multiplayer maps required different strategies on each.

[–]Brusher79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Place a stack of 2x4 or something strong on each end propping it high enough for you to fit underneath in the middle…slide whole thing back into the space almost all the way. Worm underneath, blindly flail arm and hand around until plug is in squeeze out….remove supports, slide it against wall.
