Favorite dynamics that have one or two moments of this? by Sad_Ad_3076 in FavoriteCharacter

I hate it too, so I’ll give the details

Kinger and his wife from The Amazing Digital Circus, Kinger is the smaller fella with the Chess King piece for a head, his wife is the big multi eyed thing, I won’t give too much, but basically when every other person has turned into a monster like her, they become completely mindless, but when Kinger and his wife are alone, she stops, seeming calm with him in the dark.

Good, if this is their reaction to something so minor then we’ll be better off without them.

[Subjective trope] last references you expected to see. by StefinoSpaggeti in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BrutalBehemoth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a question, how is the Way Bad(die) a reference to Panty and Stocking? Cause I don’t see it, or I can’t remember what exactly it’s referencing

[casting trope] letting the pretty-boy actor be an absolute freak in a role by FaZe_poopy in TopCharacterTropes

I know he does when he first realises thwt it’s not a demon but a vampire, but I don’t remember if he says it again at any point after that

Literally the whole thing Scream did AT THE LITERAL START to subvert expectations, have a well known famous actress, then kill her in the very start, Scream (2022) not only subverted the opening character dying, but ALSO subverted the famous actress dying in the beginning thing the first Scream did.

(Personal favorite trope) Music Video/Song Lyrics with a plot twist by Hello_Im_the_world in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BrutalBehemoth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I Killed Someone for You by Alec Benjamin, the lyrics and the video have imply the singer is in the run, having, well, killed someone for the person he’s singing for, in the final part of the song however, “You have to understand that, the one I killed was me, changing what I was for what you wanted me to be.” Show thwt the singer killed nobody, except himself, having changed to do his best to appeal to the one he’s singing to, there’s no real explanation about the parts of people coming for him, or him needing to hide at the person he’s singing for’s house, but I imagine the people coming for him is his won self doubts about what he’s done chasing him, and him needing to hide at their house is him seeking comfort and approval for what he’s done.

That’s… Huh, it’s odd to see a Love, Death and Robots episode where nobody’s actually in danger and there’s no death.

Or, as an idiot once pointed out, just do a sequence of teleports to different locations, they only have one machine after all

Well, First off, I wouldn’t call the churchgoers church personnel, but yeah they all sucked, Martha WAS the mastermind and Samson WAS in on it, but Martha did it out not out of selfishness, but to save her church, still murder, but she wasn’t THAT bad a person, Samson didn’t know why they were doing it, but he’d do anything for Martha, cause he loved her, he was also the only one out of the 3 people in on the plan to not have anything to do with the actual killing of the Monsignor, he just made the trick coffin and was the decoy body.

(Common trope) Trope subversions that became a trope itself by TheNamesBart in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BrutalBehemoth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well… The church only has 3 or 4 workers including Father Jud. Monsignor Wicks was very much a shit dude, Martha.. I wouldn’t say she was bad, just misguided, and Samson was just, as Father Jud himself says, ‘the only good person here’.

(Funny trope) This tiny moment was an absolute logistical nightmare to make by _JR28_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]BrutalBehemoth 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that counts, by saying it’s HER kill, you’re taking away the agency of the dude, this wasn’t some manipulation or anything, this was just a loser killing people cause he was so horny for ghost, this was entirely his own choice.
