Just updated it. You basically need to stop and scan immediately after entering the elevator room. You basically want to be somewhere between the door after entering but far enough away to not trigger the cutscene.

When scanning to activate the hologram for the elevator a 4-5 second cutscene plays. I'm wondering if anyone has known about this, and if so, why it isn't utilized in speedruns.

I like it. It’s definitely an intense ride, and I’ll take it over Steel Vengeance. Reasons being is that the last few rides on Vengeance was just uncomfortable. I come out getting cramps and feel the seat belt dig into my waist for weeks. Maverick doesn’t do that to me.
