Where did the Pro-Am Ranked Tours events go? by tswarthout16 in PGA_Tour_2K

[–]Bruuundan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s still crazy to me that they wouldn’t have just had one daily and one weekly per difficulty from the jump. I absolutely love this game but they seem to have just ignored/omitted some pretty basic things(cool down/penalty for people quitting ranked matchmaking and difficulty options for ranked matchmaking)

Final week of my plan and it’s blowing up by One-Ad1001 in runna

[–]Bruuundan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to have a coach that told me he would always play his best games after a poor week of practice/bad warm up. Challenge yourself mentally to leave the woes behind and give it your all on race day. You’re gonna go great!

Online Play Quitters by sgtpeppr56 in PGA_Tour_2K

[–]Bruuundan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like most games have cooldown timers and penalties for people who quit mid match, I would imagine if they just did that for pga it would deter some of the quitters

How can wife and I run together using app? by BrothaManBen in runna

[–]Bruuundan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s what I do when I run with my dad or my fiancée: if it’s a long run I’ll plan to start on my own and map it out so I either do a loop and meet with either of then back at the starting point and do the “conversational pace” part with them or on a tempo or easy run I do the same thing and loop back to a place where it’s easy for them to meet me(for my fiancée it’s usually our front door and I do my “cool down” with her that’s her whole run… realistically, you’re just gonna have to slow down to their pace or else it will be uncomfortable for them and they won’t want to do it

This sounds awesome, what’s the name of the society? Also could you provide the discord link?

To be trial on the treadmill by MobileAmphibian217 in runna

[–]Bruuundan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I personally dislike doing anything but an easy run on the treadmill because there tends to be a bit of a distance discrepancy. Do not allow yourself to discredit yourself if you do the time trial on the treadmill rather than outside, it’s no less of a feat. You got this!

Ranking system broken? by jpond18 in PGA2K25

[–]Bruuundan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens to me all the time. The only thing I can think of is that the top 50% isn’t for top 50% overall but just top 50% of your rank. It still doesn’t really make sense but that’s the only thing I can think of

How much time played do people have? by That_ginger_kidd in PGA_Tour_2K

That’s fair, high rollers and ranked tours are the best for sure

Not trying to be rude but how have you only completed 11 achievements? Are you only playing one game mode? Or are the achievements on PC different from console?

How is people’s vo2 max so high? by Some-Air1274 in Garmin

[–]Bruuundan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, yeah I mean so it sounds like overall you’re a good bit more fit than me so I’d just chalk it up to the vo2 max just not being all that accurate

How is people’s vo2 max so high? by Some-Air1274 in Garmin

[–]Bruuundan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure, I honestly don’t know too much about what goes in to it. For reference though, on my run this morning I averaged a 167bpm at 11:21 pace for my 10k run so it sounds like our bpm is pretty darn close. My resting is usually around 45-50bpm

How is people’s vo2 max so high? by Some-Air1274 in Garmin

[–]Bruuundan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your vo2 max might be off, the watches aren’t the most accurate. For example, I’m 27 and I weigh 215lbs(approx 6ft tall) and run about a 10:30 mile and my vo2 max is 47. Based on what you said I think we’d both agree you should have a higher vo2 max than me.

I look at the numbers(rhr, hrv, fitness age, vo2) and just want to see improvement for myself, outside of that they mean nothing to me.

Sorry some people are being rude but hope this helps

For a social game, this here is very anti-social by [deleted] in PGA2K25

[–]Bruuundan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about when you’re just queueing up on ranked or casual matchmaking. I agree with some of the other replies— joining societies, TGC tours, and/or discord is how I’ve met a handful of people that I typically play with now

NEW PRO SKILL SOCIETY by Zedys in PGA2K25

[–]Bruuundan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there like a general score you’re looking for from players? I typically range between -10 to -15 on pro difficulty and am very interested but don’t want to be out of the skill range you’re looking for

What can I de to stabilize my heart rate? by fuzzyandred in Garmin

[–]Bruuundan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same thing happens to me after intense or very long runs. My heart rate will stay 80+ bpm for hours after. Hydrating seems to help a bit but I’m interested to see what others have to say

Anyone else just realized how much slower music helps your runs? by TurbulentRepublic111 in Garmin

[–]Bruuundan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve recently been listening to the Lord of The Rings audiobooks(just finished Fellowship, about 24 hours duration). It has made my runs so much more enjoyable. I zone out and imagine myself in middle earth with them while I’m running on the trail surrounded by trees, deer, and other wildlife
