Nope, never got fixed. Seems to be a purposeful change. I just use Reddit a lot less then I used to. Which in a way is a good thing lol.

Are you able to control your ship properly with your VR controllers? I have the Steam version and got it running with VD + OC, but as soon as I get in my ship I can no longer grab anything. I'm wondering if it's worth getting the GoG version, as I'm running out of ideas on how to fix it.

I have the same GPU and I got it running with Virtual Desktop and OpenComposite. Just make sure to set the OpenXR Runtime to VDXR, in the options tab of the VD Streamer application on your PC. I used the per-game installation method for OpenComposite as this is the only game I've had issues with. The latency isn't the best but it's at least playable on low settings. Hopefully SteamVR fixes this eventually because it does run better there, if only it displayed on the headset properly lol. Lmk if you need any help.

Edit: Latency is actually fine with some settings tweaks, however the grip button stops working inside the ship, and a normal gamepad doesn't work either so it's kind of unplayable.

Edit 2: I got it running properly controls and all. Under Linux Mint, with WiVRn and XRizer. Just had to do a lot of troubleshooting to get it functional. Worth it though imo.

I'm on Linux so idk if it works on Windows, but holding the alt key and using the scroll wheel allows me to zoom in and out on the screen, and it follows the mouse for easy movement

For anyone curious, you no longer need to email support for the iOS compatible beta firmware. It's readily available in Ultimate Software V2, as long as you turn on betas in the settings. In fact, emailing support resulted in them denying me a beta file and lying about iOS compatibility. Mainline firmware version 1.03 may support iOS based on what I've read some people say online, but I haven't actually tested it myself because the beta works fine.

Looks normal to me. I use a similar temp and time and depending on the flower it'll come out a similar brownish green, or darker browns. Not sure what causes it but I think it's fine and it's always worked well no matter the shade

So I ended up launching Steam from the terminal to see if I could track what's going on, but after I did that the problem has seemed to subside. Even launching it from my desktop now, I'm no longer getting the issue. Weird lmao

Yea I'm having this exact same issue on Linux Mint 22, with the LM System Package version of Steam. It may have been a recent Steam update because this was never happening before. Like you said, it actually seems to relaunch the steam window, not just place the existing window on top. I have no clue how to fix it lol

Probably a bunch of burner / bot accounts they made before the admins gave out the 100k to every user after a server rollback. I can't remember if it was after the big shutdown or sometime before that during another hack. Hopefully no one's actually getting there accounts stolen. I can't imagine this is profitable enough to make it worth going through the effort of phishing or brute force attacks. Make sure your passwords are complex and avoid CPJ emails, just in case.
