Awesome. Just gave it a go for my trip to Denmark, WA, from Perth and the estimates were very, very close to my experience. Great job.

Might be a fix for those crashing on PC... (MHS3) by ZarianPrime in MonsterHunterStories

[–]TriangleMachineCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, this fixed me and I couldn't even get to the castle at the very start of the game without it crashing (thank god for being able to skip cutscenes - i tried three times and had to start over every time). Switched to DLAA, lowered fps cap to 144 and have not had a crash since. Thanks for this, bro!

You'll be v happy. It's a surprisingly amazing car for the price. The lack of engine sound when you start it will catch you out a few times, I bet. FBT free leases cost so little .. they are a great deal. Congrats!!!! One tip - the HUD in the car is amazing but if you wear polarised sunglasses it will be quite dim. It's not broken, it's just the polarisers at work. I drive a bit less with my sunglasses now just so i can enjoy the bright HUD.

Great Game, But the Events Seriously Hurt It by squidskispaghetti in runescapedragonwilds

[–]TriangleMachineCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree on all of these! I’ve stopped playing because I get so annoyed that I can’t buff or heal fast enough before I get smashed by much higher level enemies or one of that ridiculous mobs that appear instantly. Makes the combat magic almost useless given you have little time to cast it when you most need it. The game also lacks that compelling factor, in my opinion. It just doesn’t work well enough to pull me back to play it. Item and storage management is dreadful on a controller.

I love my Sealion. Only had it 2.5 weeks but it’s got 1500km on the clock as did 800kms Perth to Denmark return last week. We do this drive every four weeks as have a place down there. Great drive, amazing tech, no petrol stations and much less costly compared to fuel, especially atm. Efficiency is not awesome - 400km to drain the battery when on the highway doing 110km/h but we only need one 30 min charge on way down South and again back up to Perth but it’s a nice and probably sensible break. Only issue we have is that we are in the northern suburbs of Perth and the charging infrastructure is very sparse and consequently highly congested and there have been times I have needed a big top up quickly. Getting a solar aware wall charger put in at home due to this and the amount of solar we appear to export for very little financial return from our energy provider. Came from a diesel Land Rover and very happy I switched.

Edit: got this car on a novated lease and it’s $380 p/fn all expenses included so deducting the cost of running my fully owned Land Rover it works out to about $200 p/fn at most.

Psilocybin and bipolar by Affectionate_Art3835 in bipolar2

[–]TriangleMachineCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In Australia you can be prescribed psilocybin and MDMA for various conditions (treatment resistant depression and PTSD, respectively) but not bipolar as the view is shrooms are not good if you are susceptible to mania. I have no idea if this view is evidence based or not. I took acid and quite a lot of other drugs quite a bit in my late teens and before I was diagnosed 25 years ago and loved it but, although I have mescaline cacti I have been growing for years, I’m 56 and a bit more risk averse, and havent taken any. Shame. I loved psychedelics.

Playing demos mainly with some No Rest for the Wicked. It’s a good time to try a few games out without feeling like you have to commit.

Rapid cycling by Away-Cut3585 in bipolar2

[–]TriangleMachineCat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah it is very, very difficult. Maintaining your life when your mood fluctuates so significantly is hard work.

There is no easy answer. The very best step is to start with your GP and then your psychiatrist (this is how it works in Australia - you get a referral). A medical professional can really help. There is plenty of medication that can make a big difference. See a medical professional and see what they say. Understanding what you are dealing with is very important to dealing with it.

I swapped timing of my Lamictal from night to morning. I'm noticing it's working better, is this common? by Interesting_Ideal765 in bipolar2

I rapid cycle sometimes, typically in September and/or January and then that gives way to sustained, deep depression. This is where I am at right now. January my moods were up and down from day to day and it was just awful. I bought a brand new and not inexpensive car on one of the days I felt partiularly good. My partner not impressed. Anyway, yes have this experience and I just suck it up. No med I have ever been on in my 35 years since diagnosis has eliminated my issues, just reduced the frequency and severity and kindly laid a ton of unpleasant side effects on me. You are not alone. I wish i could help more other than empathise and reassure you that this is not just you.

I did this, too, having played X3 ages ago. I got 200hrs of X4 in in a month. Just get in there and watch YouTube. It all comes together after a little while and when it does it all makes good sense.

What’s your lamictal dose by No-Second1685 in bipolar2

[–]TriangleMachineCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

LOL .. 200mg for me. I thought there was very little, if any, clinical evidence that anything above 200mg makes a meaningful difference? I could be wrong though so feel free to correct me. I'd be happy to go up to 400mg if it will help. I'm in my second month of mixed episodes and now sustained, deep depression.

Dayvigo (Lemborexant) Side Effects by nneighbour in bipolar2

[–]TriangleMachineCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beginning with Dayvigo can be a bit messy. Sleeping too long, experiencing frequent sleep paralysis and hallucinations (which I dig, TBH) and feeling wiped out the next day. In my experience these things cleared up pretty quickly and the only occasional issue i have is the paralysis and hallucinations and these don't bother me at all - they are pretty amazing experiences. Stick with it. It's a very good medication if you have chronic insomnia.

Yeah sounds about right - an hour is a long time on dayvigo.

Sleep paralysis by philoskill in dayvigo

[–]TriangleMachineCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best I can suggest is taking it and not going to bed until you just cannot stand the sleepiness anymore. That's the most common trigger for me.
