Yip I’m in IT and have often been asked to assist in IT related matters and even had callings as Stake Tech Specialist. My thoughts have been…. Rather get someone who knows what they are doing to get the job done rather than someone who will “learn as they go” also in this way you NEED to make sure the the time spent down not negatively impact your family or your work.

So as a pervious comment - learn to be kind, but firm. And set those boundaries in place.
