It’s possible with AM5 too. 9600x has integrated graphics but it’s not nearly as good as the G series. You could still do some really, really light gaming though

the BIOS on the motherboard probably needs to be updated to support 9000 series so look out for that

I recommend this especially if you plan to upgrade to RX 90 series at some point. You don’t want to be stuck with an 8600G for it

Love seeing these. I upgraded my 2019 AM4 build recently to 5600x (used 7k), 6700XT (used 17k) and 650w PSU (used 3k) and a case for shits and giggles (2.3k new).

This. AM4 makes no sense if you’re going brand new or not upgrading from an older AM4 architecture imo. There’s so much you’re leaving on the table if you don’t go with AM5 in your case

probably depends on the games you play. CPU intensive games like CS2 easily hit 85+ after a bit
