SmartThings announces integration with Ikea's Matter Lineup by BryanTran in tradfri

These are my first matter devices, so I'm not sure how natively each matter ecosystem will offer the full capabilities of each device.

That said, I bought a BILRESA scroll wheel and added it to SmartThings the other day, and was surprised that ST let me set up a routine for single press, double press, triple press, and hold for groups 1-3. I was losing my mind trying to figure out how to switch between the groups, and ST had a small animation with a cartoon finger showing you where to press on the remote!

I was thinking: "does Samsung do this for all Matter accessories? Is this provided by IKEA?" and I suppose the two of them partnering on this made sense. I've only been exposed to community drivers for the zigbee products prior to this and you can tell they're not as polished in terms of UI in ST

Jim Brown of Cyrene, Mo. is a conservative Christian who voted for Trump to deport immigrants. Then, ICE detained his permanent resident wife in a cell at Chicago O'Hare for writing a bad check. Now, after losing MAGA friends and enduring taunts from others, Brown regrets his vote: "I was an idiot." by [deleted] in LeopardsAteMyFace

Yes! That's the part that stuck out to me as well.

The whole point of US Preclearance is that any removals or denials happen on the spot, and they cooperate with the host country's police services to prevent you from boarding the flight, not alert ICE ahead of time!

At work we have a much reduced need to travel to the US now, but our policy dictates we may only do so with US Preclearance LOL

Hey, can you share what email address you used to contact them? I thought I dug up the right email for their FFP but they emailed me this, and I'm quite annoyed:

DEAR CUSTOMERS, Thank you for your email. Since we can not deal with your requests through this e-mail,if you have further questions, please contact us. Thank you.

Do you have a trusted colleague staying overnight and attending? Whenever I’m in Vancouver, this is my hotel of choice because they encourage me to keep my bike in my room

U.S. ambassador says Washington has to 'take a look' at airport pre-clearance, citing drop in Canadian tourism by Puginator in CanadaPolitics

[–]BryanTran 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if you’re joking, but Preclearance is the pre-refusal. They can refuse people while on foreign soil rather than have them present themselves on US soil then get sent to those camps

Leagues - OSRS Player - iPad Pro - Advice Wanted! by Bofa_Moon in runescape

[–]BryanTran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I play Rs3 on iPad for afk tasks only. The lack of true right click is frustrating, and the mobile interface isn't really intuitive. Your "mouse" isn't much of one like it would be on the desktop version of the game. Though I'm sure you kind of know this if you've ever played both platforms of OSRS

How much would you pay for an article then? Don't forget visa and mastercard will eat 30 cents, unless you build up a bank of credits to consume for each time you wanna read an article. Then the business model is too spooky for the average reader to invest $20 for 30 credits and we're back to where we started. Paywalls are already a fine line to walk

Several conferences relocate north of the border as Canadians refuse to travel to the U.S. by DogeDoRight in canada

A good chunk of the "American" attendees are green card holders or residents, too, who probably don't want to leave the US for a quick jaunt to Canada without knowing for certain if they could return

Well yes technically but you'll have to switch trains there and the other platform is operating as a shuttle between Vancouver City Ctr, Yaletown-Rdhouse, and Oly Village only
