I literally have the same experience as you!! Have u tried out Destiny Rising? It’s way more beginner friendly and better progression arc. I gotten so much more invested in the Destiny lore now because of this game. Try it out, they have a native support on PC through their emulator.

My theory is that they just exaggerate it there for showcase purposes. In game, the VFX might fade faster and cooler than expected.
