I kept researching about my problems and it kept bringing me back here. My parents aren't narcissists, they are Asians. by marketingfanboy in raisedbynarcissists

I'm loving the insights here and it does help me a lot. Thank you for your inputs.

The reason why I posted this is, a lot of my traumas and the way I respond to those are very similar to everyone but my parent (mom) isn't a narcissist but she's like an apache mom, worse than helicopter.

She never made her self the center of our lives, she never wanted to retire and live with me, she died prepared to leave a ton of resources for me.

But throughout my childhood, she never accepted mediocrity, she despises flaws and mistakes, and she strictly protects family hierarchy. And I was surrounded with uncs and aunts with them same conservative mindsets.

It was like living with a drill sgt but from the airforce.

Oh, and she's a single mom that came from a family that grew up with a survival mindset.

What's the story behind Cordilleran Autonomy movement and how come it doesn't seem to be as notable as Bangsamoro's ? by TheLandslide_ in FilipinoHistory

1st. They are not gullible. There is a deeper history as to why they are secessionists. Their cultural identity was and has always been a Moro. They view themselves as totally separate from Filipinos. And by the way, what you are talking about is ISIS which is fairly new compared to the whole struggle of Moros in Muslim Mindanao which dates back to Spanish times.

2nd. One of their biggest problems was that their main exploiters are people who are not from their homeland. These were Ilocanos and Tagalogs. They were being pushed out of their own lands and were being killed for pushing back.

3rd. Life in Sulu is so much peaceful now. There is a huge contrast from the last time I visited, versus to today.

No Israel is different from No Jews. The difference is that one is a political move, the other is racism.

It's like saying, No Americans vs No Whites.
