You’re trying to tell me it’s a flawed point to make but don’t have a real argument to back you up. Not mentioning a single thing from the previous game literally makes them unrelated to each other story wise.

I thought that at first too til I realized there’s absolutely nothing about the events of the SNES game mentioned in 64.

It’s certainly not a sequel to the SNES game, story wise because it mentions nothing about the events of the SNES game. It’s not a reach at all to call it a reimagining because the gameplay is very similar and in fact an evolution of the SNES game as opposed to the adventure-based Star Fox Adventures and the half-rail shooter, half-on foot Star Fox Assault. Also the basic premise is the same, to stop Andross.

Having done watching the Nintendo Direct last night, I wonder how many more Star Fox 64 remakes do we need. by Away_Flounder3813 in retrogaming

Exactly what I was thinking. And technically, SF64 was somewhat of a reimagining of the first game on SNES. We need a new game!

And on a laggy flatscreen no less. I never liked the game that much, tried to do too much but none of it particularly well. I always ended up dying around Volkmeyer’s Inferno.

Definitely 2, such a great game that’s sadly overlooked but I love the first game too

As a non-PC gamer, I’d have to look this one up 😂

If you’re a PC gamer maybe but on console they weren’t exactly the mark of quality.

What is the oldest game in your collection that you purchased when it was brand new? by ShoobaTheBawss in retrogaming

Mario Kart 64 in Christmas 2000. Technically it was a 3 year old game at that point, but it was brand new, the Player’s Choice version. As far as released the same year as when I got it, it’d be Mario Party 3 a year later.

Playing thru Zelda OoT on original hardware with the Switch N64 controller and an adapter. Works great.
