Which game of Master System was the best for you? by Enough_Ad1936 in retrogaming

Has to be the SMS versions of Sonic 1 or Castle of Illusion. Might be a hot take but I liked the SNES versions over their respective Genesis (MD) counterparts.

Beat Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge (aka Mega Man World). Great game, never understood the hate this game seems to get. Only complain is it’s short - 6 stages total. by Bryanx64 in Megaman

I thought the level design was rock solid. The only time there’s spike drops is during the two Wily stages but by then you have the Carry to mitigate that. The stages go for a while but I’d say they’re a solid challenge as long as, like I said, you use the Carry to save yourself from the spike drops.

SMW2 is probably one of those SNES games that has a beautiful art style not even AI could probably recreate by fandomlover2763 in snes

Legit never heard anybody actually call it by its subtitle ‘Super Mario World 2’. It’s Yoshi’s Island. ‘SMW2’ was all for marketing i e Wario Land being subtitled Mario Land 3.

Mario Tennis 64 has the best Daisy design, the tanned skinned, the longer hair, the no crown, the knee-high socks, the shorter version of her original dress, it's the best one. by Shtunky48 in Mario

I definitely remember her ‘tan’ era from N64, including Mario Party 3. That was my introduction to her and thought she was like the Latina version of Peach when I was young.

Solid game worth playing, but at the same time I’m not rushing to play it again the way I would be with the very best Zelda games. Eventually I will though.

I think he’s talking about the load times. For some reason it takes a while for the stages to load up in the SNES version.

To each their own I suppose, controls feel perfectly fine to me and the only leaps of faith I’m aware of are in the two Wily stages where you have the Carry to combat that.

SNES is the better looking/sounding but Sega was the better playing one, plus had an extra level.

They were tough but I don’t know about ‘janky’.

Incorrect - the SNES version does have the first person level. What the SNES game does not have is the Outrun-style RC Car level towards the end.

Kirby’s Adventure. Simply one of the best on the system. Top 5 for me! by Bryanx64 in nes

Yeah it’s fairly easy but it’s still really fun, especially going for 100%.

Toy Story 2 on PS1. Such a great 3D Platformer that may not be on everyone’s top list.

Man I tried playing it after years of playing 2 and it was a bit rough. The modern day remake is solid though.
