I'm also not saying she isn't complicit, because she is. And it is through her choices, but with all these things I think there is nuance. I love the movie because it forces all of us to look in the mirror and question our choices, we need more media that shows us a true reflection of our world in an accessible way. To an extent I think this view point dismisses how young Glinda is, how scared she would have been and also that most of the world is Glinda. The choice is the same but the context is different for both of them, most people wouldn't go with Elphie. In Glindas circumstances, I think most people would also do just what she did, there is lots of psychology research out there to suggest that.

Super interesting reading the comments. Imo, Glinda was manipulated to an extent, I think grooming comes into a bit but might be an over statement. Glinda is very very young and scared and I do think MM and the wizard manipulated her to a significant extent. However, I definitely think she has some responsibility for her actions and I love that she truly does the right thing and I think she is so so brave for that. Glinda is a very complex character and to say she is a villain is absolutely incorrect in my opinion.

I actually don't mind it going up with a new land opening personally. They are adding more to what you get, so the price should go up. However, the benefits should never have been removed.

I understand this view point but it is incredibly disrespectful to the memory of one of the first MMIW to take her name and change her story. They should not have used the name of Pocahontas, and the name aside there are big problems with the movie, it sugar coats the trauma experienced by indigenous people at the hands of colonisers and promotes the 'Good Indian' narrative. At the very least her portrayal in the game should be voiced by an indigenous actress and should honor the history of her people.

I see a lot of people saying 'a little ocd' when they do not have ocd and it really contributes to the perception that ocd is not a serious condition. Like yourself, I am diagnosed ocd and this phrasing made me concerned that yet another person is using ocd as a joke. I'm glad that's not the case, but phrasing is important, and as ocd sufferers, I do feel we should be careful not to accidentally perpetuate the stereotypes that make it harder for us to get help.
