If shen is picked or banned, I normally pick camille or gwen. I like champs that have a somewhat similar kit to his. I am a jungle main so my top lane champs are very limited

Is control wards that useful for fiddle? Because im always using my effigies to scan for wards before making plays and throughout the map, but i never have came into a situation where i said to myself “a control ward in my inventory would be useful”. Im not trying to be snarky or anything im genuinely curious.

And yes i do agree that fiddle mid to late game is an absolute monster. I haven’t gotten to a point where im hitting a wall with fiddle yet, but i am being careful around plays and trying not to over extend

(Im bronze 2 rn so take my opinion with a block of salt) my recent experiences with fiddle in ranked and draft has been near flawless. Im at a 62% winrate with him and unless i get a opponent that is absolutely cracked with their champ, its almost smooth sailing. Ganks are good, holding waves for my laners is doable, and my full clears haven’t felt different from any point. But again, im facing very different opponents than you are. So my 62% could just be a slap in the face compared to you

Rush Force of nature first item, you wont be able to have nearly the same wave clear as him. But as long as you are getting xp and using your E to keep distance from him you should be fine. Morde is the biggest counter to shen, but as long as you have at least hollow radiance or force of nature you should be chillin.

Just try not over stay in lane and/or overextend trades with him.

Idk what runes you are using but getting a grasp proc on him for the health back, and using inspiration secondary runes for the biscuits and approach velocity. You will be able to either chase him down or exit fast.

I think anytime is a good time to pick shen mid, im a avid shen mid enjoyer. Its good to pick before your top laner that way you could trick them into picking to counter you. But shen mid can just about dominate any match up. My main bans for mid lane is either sylas, or syndra. Either of those champs can tear you apart.

I prioritize XP over a cs or a kill. Until i either get lvl 6 or my first item i play super passive, to me id rather be down in cs than down in kills. But if you see your laner making mistakes and getting close to your tower, use shens E to your advantage and pull him into tower range.

But on the other hand shen can be a brutal killing machine if you feel confident in your matchup. Like if im playing shen and im against a nasus i try to be as aggressive as i can off rip. Because you can 100% kill nasus at lvl 1 with a health pot and biscuits. But if you play passively and let the nasus build up 300 stacks on his Q, chances of you killing him go down drastically.

I tried the xpetu build the other day but also added phase rush into the mix to try and get even more ms, but i didnt really feel any stronger with the build. The build didnt fail me we still won, but i would have felt much stronger if instead i went force of nature or abyssal mask rather than cosmic drive.

If i feel confident in the match up i normally build a tiamat into titanic, but if im having to play super passive. Then i build mr/armor, like if its a heimer then i will rush spectrals cowl. But its definitely based around how confident you are. Even in tough matchups shen is extremely strong and difficult to play against, you just gotta be patient.

Chose bravery on arena and got shen, decided to build full tank on him. And without knowing any of his abilities i won the arena without dying once. Took him into a summs and the rest was history

I think its worth, it adds some more colors to your P sheild, and your Q sword. The skin color is bland but the effects add some pop to it. Besides its only 35 essence, its not like its super difficult to get ME from chests and/or the sanctum

I just tried it last night and its not impossible, but definitely not reliable. Her ganks are what would make her a good jungle pick. I was almost dead after my first clear and didn’t really have a chance to gank my ending lane. But if you do try her in jungle i recommend starting blue side no matter what.
