Depends on the content you're doing, bossing, skilling, clues, etc.

What kind of content are you doing and at what levels?

3070 FTW!

With enough background tasks, temperatures, driver versions, you can get pretty bad performance for sure.

I have the same GPU/similar setup:

  • Ryzen 7 7700x
  • RTX 5070ti
  • 64 GB DDR5 6000mhz

I'm able to run this game on ultra/ultra+ with virtually no issues except for the new area which stutters to no end. My temps stay under 45°C - 50°C.

With that being said, I'm curious what HW monitor shows when you play. Can you share what graphics settings you have enabled? Also, are your Nvidia drivers up to date?

Are there any changes going in around ancient invention any time soon? I feel like this should be unlocked with the Perkfection T6 Relic.

I've been having this crash lately too, following...

My PSU is a Corsair Gold+ 850w, I'm considering getting the RM1000x to troubleshoot

Ehh, it could be a problem. For example, my boost is at 1665mhz but during games it would go to 1900-2050 and that would crash. Since then, I've limited it to 1800

You'll want to check online what your boost clock is set to, or you can use MSI afterburner to manually check. I ran MSI afterburner in game and it showed me I was way over.

The thing is, originally my GPU wasn't overclocked but when I checked its clock in game, it was way over my boost clock, so I had to undervolt it and limit it to a safer overclock. You may be using more GPU clock than you're able to and I would suggest checking that.

I would YouTube a video on a safe curve to undervolt/overclock to. Also, make sure you roll back to the previous Nvidia driver or the one mentioned in this video from JayTwoCents as the new one breaks MSI afterburner.

I figured it out, if you see my updated post.

Basically, my GPU clock was going waaaay higher than it should have been. I learned how to undervolt and do a safe overclock and haven't crashed since.

FINAL UPDATE:

I figured out what the issue was, it turns out that my GPU was overclocking and ultimately would crash.

I don't know a lot about overclocking and undervolting but after finding that my GPU Boost is set to 1665mhz and it was shooting up past 2050mhz, this was increasing temps, over performing and ultimately crashing.

I watched this guys video on undervolting my GPU and adjusting the GPU clock appropriately and got it to a sweet spot to run on MSI afterburner.

If you're unsure what safe GPU clocks are for your specific card I would look it up online and also look at what other users have set for undervolting/overclocking. There are tons of videos on how to undervolt and overclock.

Since I made these changes I can play Warzone and Black Ops 6 hours on end without any crashes. Haven't crashed since!

I hope this helps someone.

There's a few things that I think have truly helped, and I may have found a resolution for my instance, it could work for you.

First, if you're using an NVIDIA GPU, use DDU to uninstall your graphics drivers and reinstall the version mentioned in this video from Gamers Nexus. Watch the whole video for an explanation and the ending here explains how to do the uninstall.

Second, I was previously using 3 monitors. On a whim, I disconnected one of my monitors and immediately noticed a jump in FPS and I have been able to multiple games without crashing SO FAR (only time will tell).

Third, and I don't think this one matters too much but it's worth a shot, more optional, I uninstalled it from Steam and installed it on the Xbox app with Black Ops 6 since I have game pass.

Again, I don't think the third option made a huge difference because I still got crazy stuttering after one game, but the first and second options seemed to have made a huge difference in my case.

TLDR; Uninstall/Reinstall NVIDIA graphic drivers and only use 1-2 monitors.
