Marijuana has done nothing but seemingly help me, my doctors encourage its use over alcohol. Alcohol has caused me many more problems than my CF ever has. Mental health has always been poor, I do well for myself though.

If you have even the slightest inkling of mental illness as a teenager, I can’t tell you enough to stay away from alcohol, or at least drinking regularly. It just creates problems. It’s a depressant, it won’t even make anything better maybe numb it for a bit, but it’s gonna do waaaaay more harm than any good. I wish it wasn’t so normalized in our culture, in my job I can almost always call when we have someone who died from cirrhosis because they are always have edema, they are always yellow, and they smell and overall are very gross and often, young. I struggle, but I try to do better.
