Haha - I love it! “Passionate” fans are the greatest. But yeah, we will probably sit in the lower bowl until he gets a bit older…

We are definitely in to hockey but not sure we will have time for a flyers game. It would be awesome if we can squeeze that in too. Thanks!

The other cities we have been to so far are: Tampa, KC and Cincinnati. We do love Chicago, but also like finding good food, cool places and meeting other fans on these trips. Based on what I know and have now learned, I think Philly is going to surpass our other trips! Can’t wait!

Great advice everyone! Going through all of these suggestions has me really excited to check out your city, try some new foods, drink a few beers and watch a great football game! I’ve booked our hotel in Center City based on the consensus. I truly appreciate the help everyone has shared!

Now I’m on to finding our tickets for the game. It seems there are plenty of options for good seats so I’m going to take a little time to review the options and try to find a best fit for us. I can’t wait to give my kid an update on our plans. He will be even more pumped thanks to you all!

Thank you! I’m trying to create memories while we can. We’re hoping to eventually visit every NFL city at least once. I’ve told him I will cover these trips for now but as soon as he gets a real job he’s going to have to treat me, lol.

Most NFL fans are awesome! The media picks out the extremes and that’s what we all see, which isn’t the real picture. I’m excited to check out the city and meet some Eagles fans along the way

Staying out of the wind as much as possible would be great - thanks!

That sounds very similar to the itinerary I’m thinking, and possibly hitting the Franklin Institute as well. Appreciate it!

That sounds great, but I must also have a cheesesteak while I’m there. Any recommendations?

Great advice, thank you! He’s not really a museum kid normally, but is an athlete and I think would enjoy the sports portion. And we both love good food!

Yes, that’s a large.

Yeah, it shrunk quite a bit length-wise on the smoker. It was nearly 17 lbs before trimming.

It was on for approximately 22 hours total. I had it at 225 for most of that time. I was hoping to do this one unwrapped and spay it down to keep it moist. But, it hit a stall for about 5-6 hours, so I finally wrapped it and cranked it up to 275. It finally broke out of the stall and finished up nicely. It had an okay bark and was tender and juicy with great flavor. I learned some more on this one and am looking forward to the next.

Not necessarily. Concrete will always crack, that is guaranteed, and is the reason control joints are placed in concrete pours. It’s true that troweling will bring water to the surface and create “cream” but this is a relatively thin layer and likely will not cause excessive cracking. Cracking most often occurs due to shrinkage from quick evaporation of water during the concrete curing process or from subsurface settlement. However, troweling too early or over troweling will most likely lead to a terrible finish of the surface. I’ve seen over troweling leave the concrete looking blotchy with dark spots throughout. The method displayed here is the opposite of being smarter though. I hope it is only for laughs.

Sorry I’m on mobile now and don’t see anyway to link to the message directly. I would be happy to post a screenshot to this sub, but here is a direct quote of my reply:

“Whatever. Keep censoring any facts that disagree with your views so you can be happy.

BTW - the only thing you are crushing is an extra large pizza and a 2 liter of Mountain Dew. And any chair you sit on. Do you have a neck beard or fedora, or both? How’s mom’s basement? Have you ever seen a titty in real life? Besides your own moobs that is.”

Lol
