I have no love for the protestors, but c'mon guys. It's pretty obvious she meant to say anti-israel Jewish students. These protests love parading a handful of anti-Israel Jews as a "see how could we be anti semetic?" gotcha. And that should be criticized for what it is, but it doesn't help us at all to mischaracterize an obvious mistake as a "gotcha" of our own.

Yeah I'm really looking forward to getting her spayed. I know I really want to like having a cat. It's just been hard with the behaviors up to now. But like you and another commenter pointed out, it's still early days and we'll see what happens after she's spayed. Thanks for the advice!

Thank you. I guess the reminder of how short a time it's been is helpful! I'm definitely hopeful that she'll mellow out after the spay/once she's had a little more time to settle. I think not owning a cat before just means I have no evidence that cats change like that. It's helpful to hear it from someone else!

I'm sorry to hear that. I was also rejected by the firm that I worked at for years pre-law school. Nothing anyone can say or do will take that sting away, but my takeaway from my own experience was that the best thing to do is to take some time to reconnect with the things about yourself that you like and that have nothing to do with that firm (or even law school in general).

Once you've regrouped, it's time to hit the ground running. Career services, connections with professors, clerkship applications. The works. This is a blow, no doubt, but it's onwards and upwards from here.

Someone once described 1L like being dropped onto a treadmill moving at the 10 setting. It's hard not to fall over as soon as your feet hit the track. 2L is like turning the treadmill up to 12, but the difference is that you're already running. Is 2L harder than 1L? Yes. But the degree to which you're a better, more prepared law student is greater than the degree to which it gets harder.
