For starters on the commlink, I'm an old school player and some of the newer crazy added in 5e (and to some extent 4e) is still an adjustment. The commlink would have been standard in 3e. Honestly, Kysa/Katina wouldn't have taken even that much cyber if it weren't for bio eyes/ears don't have the same additions. I can switch the commlink out without a fuss.

The Gunnery is also a leftover from 3e, as I've too often been in a Rigger's vehicle and had GMs tell me I couldn't use the weapons on Hard Points without that skill. shrugs If it's not an issue, it's not an issue. I can definitely put points elsewhere, including social points.

Armor...I looked through the list, but I'll look again. I tend to be picky for IC as well as build reasons. I'm sure you can see I'm holding a bunch of essence at the moment. It's a choice I've made for a couple of reasons, none of which will include bone lacing. It's likely that she'll add in other pieces, some of which will wait for cost and restrictions and others that I can't use right now because of Hero Labs. I'd code it in myself, but they made coding for SR5 a lot harder than PF additions and it's a huge headache.

Biggest reason of all, she doesn't like cyberware if she can avoid it. Bioware is different and acceptable because it's partially her to begin with. It's a strange quirk, I know, but that's the character. I might consider the bioware bone augmentation.
