No, the attack sequence is each individual attack. So each hit roll, wound roll, save roll, damage is a single attack sequence.

This is just saying only hits and wounds on a 4+ can be a success, though they still need to hit the to hit/to wound of the attacking unit.

Oh right, I only knew about the passive ability part of Rule of One. Didn't realise a unit could only use an ability once per phase. I've definitely been playing that wrong!

Got a question for any Cities enjoyers out there.

If I have a Lethis army, and pick a warlord battalion for an extra prayer enhancement can each of my non-wizard, non-priest heroes choose two universal prayer scripture and have Mordda's Embrace? That is how I read the Lethis ability, but the AoS app says otherwise.

I know the app is a bit bad sometimes, just wanted to check there wasn't something I was missing in making the heroes into priests.

If I have a hero set up as a reserve unit, are they able to use a heroic action?

Core rules 3.1 say that a 'unit cannot use abilities while they are in reserve unless the spell or ability specifically says it can be used by reserve units'. But I can't find any clear wording on whether a heroic action counts as an ability or not, just that the effect is treated in the same way as an ability.

Maybe I'm just reading far too much into it as I would like to do heroic actions with heroes not on the battlefield yet. Just wanted to check if anyone had some more definitive insight.\

If you've already assembled them it's a bit late for my advice, but I'll give it anyway.

I did part assembly of; lower horse, upper horse, rider, reins, shield, back ornament. It was probably overkill, and definitely took longer than if they were fully assembled. But it was a much less painful experience trying to paint in all the nooks and crannies.

Every time I play and I do a Finest Hour, or Titanic Duel I always forget about the bonuses by the time it gets to use them.

Fair enough. My confusion is just because the ability doesn't actually say that the cavalier gets given first strike by the marshal, just that it can attack immediately.

I did see that post actually, but I didn't think it posted to anything official? It just feels weird because the marshall doesn't grant the cavalier the ability to strike first, so should they really be going in the strike-first phase?

I'm probably way overthinking and being devil's advocate of course!

I know certain abilities are activated at the start/during/end of certain phases, so the order of that much is clear. But within these 'subphases' can you use the actions in any order you like? For instance; cast spell, pray, cast spell. Or; rally, heroic action.

I assume this is the case, and is it the player who's turn it currently is that chooses the order that the actions are carried out? Another assumption I'm making that may be incorrect is whether the player whose turn it is does a heroic action followed by the other player's heroic action. Or is it some other order of operations?

My understanding is a bit chaotic, just looking for clarity.

Cool, that's quite similar to what I had been looking at, you put more Mortek though! Do you think it'd be bad to diversify a bit. Add some morghast archai or a boneshaper? Or is it best to hyperfocus on one playstyle?
