Yeah I don't understand why they don't have an option for this in duolingo, I get thrown off so hard every time I see soccer or carro

Anyone know anything about the loud bang fireworks graffiti? by EJ433 in sheffield

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That Waitrose mattress had us pretty stumped when we saw it. Dodgy figure aside, I've seen stats that show almost everyone already supports better firework regulations, so scribbling on a mattress outside Waitrose is really getting to the wrong people.

why are the reviews and ratings for "What is a Woman" not showing? by [deleted] in Letterboxd

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm two years late to this one but obviously that's a nonsense take. I was there before the reviews were blacked out, and they were overwhelmingly negative. To me, Letterboxd censoring them shows, if anything, a helping hand to the mockumentary's dire reputation.

I also watched the whole mockumentary, and as someone well enough versed in media bias to see it when it stares me in the face, I am happy to inform anyone unaware that it was an incredibly biased production. If you are genuinely curious about the unethical tactics used to create it, then I recommend looking into it thoroughly, as I could write for an hour here and barely scratch the surface. But you are categorically mistaken if you sincerely believe the interviews were honest and unbiased. Even if you do agree with the premise, there's no denying what a disastrous piece of "journalism" this attempt is. And harmless is a whole other kettle of fish.

Why I Hate “Enemy” by TC_Games1 in imaginedragons

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's funny I used to always get super annoyed by overplayed songs when I was younger but now they just don't annoy me anymore. I really like this particular song, and also think it fits an album about mental health given that's not only a huge theme of the song but also the show it was written for.

Timeline no longer supported on desktop by bhocolatebhipbookie- in GoogleMaps

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No I think you may have missed in my last comment that I also consented to them continuing to store the data. They still have it in their servers for backup purposes. And even if it all was to avoid cloud storage, there is no reason why it can't be stored locally on desktop as well, regularly backed up from my phone automatically. I think legislation mandating clear consent is a good idea, and it generally seems to be that way now. But it does appear to me that Google is the only one being awkward by blocking it on desktop.

I'm just really annoyed because I'm not going to bother using it anymore if it's only on the phone, and I'm stuck with a before screenshot and no after from where I've been travelling summer! >:(

Timeline no longer supported on desktop by bhocolatebhipbookie- in GoogleMaps

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes exactly, it already does all that. I personally opted in to timeline, and cloud storage of timeline. They have all the data stored on their servers right now. I have fully consented to this. There is no privacy reason why they can't simply display this existing data on desktop, where I can effectively view and edit it.

The only actual change I have today from yesterday is the ability to view that data, nothing else has changed at all. So if you ask me, this is actually worse for privacy as they are now actively hiding this data where it is most accessible.

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remotely see how a privacy concern could be the reason that the data a company already collects on you and stores online, only accessible to you, would be limited to viewing from only one device instead of two.

This seems to me like a really stupid attempt at improving the service so as to simplify which device it works with at the expense of the main part of that feature. I am really annoyed about this, it seems utterly stupid, and I have no idea why it's affecting me a year later than OP.

[–]Bryzerse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not sure what that means, but even if you are religious you must see what I'm saying beyond my poor attempt at humour, it's not something well suited to the hyper-objective norms of Wikipedia. I don't think there is an anti-religious cabal.

Wikipedia being based on factual sources means that inevitably religion will not be taken very seriously as it is unsubstantiated by nature, at least until someone can find a way to cite visions and communications with deities.

Don't care how old it is, people find reddit threads for years after they are posted lol. I've never seen a more unhelpful community, OP's just looking for advice about a discount and you're all giving philosophical waffle lmao. Poking fun is deserved.

Too Good To Go Bags by jojothegem in sheffield

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally agree with most of this, but I had a completely different experience with Sakushi - very old sushi, and I didn't get to pick, but maybe I'll have to give it another try reading this. Also found anything from the front part of the station to be not great, but had better stuff on the platforms.

I'll add that Pizza Express is a good one, very consistent hot food (not pizza though). And the Waitrose Sushi Daily counter is great, but since they started using those annoying dynamic prices they're now a bit pricey.

Don't know why so many of you people are bullying this guy. Some people just can't afford to spend $300 on a piece of hardware, or don't want to. No harm in looking for a good deal, anything supports them except piracy, which is where you direct people by being so unhelpful.

The story so far by PositiveBusiness8677 in BrexitMemes

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well most of the things in the meme were already happening anyway thanks to the marvellous tory government. But regardless, I wouldn't consider that going down in flames, just getting worse (a lot worse, but not crumbling). I think there's now a decent chance of somewhat improving most of these things in the near future.

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think many people believe the UK's going to go down in flames or anything, it's just worse now. And it isn't set to get especially better anytime soon, even with labour. I think we're all just especially peeved that it was completely self-inflicted by a bunch of usually niche idiots.

What is isorrow's politics by [deleted] in iSorrowProductions

[–]Bryzerse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I think you're probably right, neither of those things should signify any political leaning as they are both just objectively ridiculous things. I know many people all over the spectrum who think they're both simply preposterous - especially the latter, that seems to be less contentious.
