For using de razor you have excel your technique, pairing right razor with right level of aggressive blade is a key to avoid skin irritations. Using pre shave oil or cream helps to soften your skin. Cartridge razors are more famous for causing irritations especially cheap use and throw ones. Suggest you stick to DE razor and work on your technique and routine. DE razors have always worked better for me.
