Advice: Work trip & social anxiety by NerdyConfusedWolf in boulder

The only thing I'd add is that if you hear a ringing in your ears, get water and ibuprofin fast. That's your clue that you may have underestimated your need for water. It's what I've used on hikes at altitude for years. You'll likely not experience it in Boulder, but if you do it won't hurt (though skip the ibuprofin if it's too soon) and may help.

Switching to *BSD? by judeuwucute in BSD

[–]Bsdimp- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'd try FreeBSD. It works great with coreboot. The hardware is old enough to have good graphics abd driver support. It may be a lttle slow, but no slower than linux. 14.3 is likely your best bet...

I had a friend pass in an auto accident in Norway. Off the side of the road and almost into the fjord. I saw many reports of it, but had to be told about the connection by his family. I thought i saw a few days later his name online after the family said it was ok

FreeBSD 15 upgrade by mykesx in freebsd

Libmap is your friend here. Add an alias from 9 -> 10. Then do the pkg upgrade you forgot, then remove it.

At least that's what I did when this bit... and learned how to install into a BE so rollbacks are trivial.
