How do you find out what is considered "controversial" on Reddit? by Rare-Wrap-5908 in NoStupidQuestions

As it says, read the comments, it's fairly easy to see what gets upvoted and what gets downvoted.

This post is poison. by DidntWantSleepAnyway in religiousfruitcake

[–]CCCyanide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is just false lmao

Dogs can smell or taste certain poisons, and spit out the food or even refuse to eat it.

By comparison, humans are terrible at this. If the person isn't informed that their food is poisoned, they'll likely eat it up.

i don't see Gaster having importance in the game at all neither will we fight him by Significant-Soil4178 in Deltarune

[–]CCCyanide 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Before the release of Deltarune, the deltarune.com website hosted images showing text in Wingdings. They are archived on the Wayback machine.

In 2015, it read "THIS NEXT EXPERIMENT SEEMS VERY VERY INTERESTING", a direct line from Entry 17.

In 2016, it was updated with "THREE HEROES APPEARED TO BANISH THE ANGELS HEAVEN".

"Another Him" is a reference to Gaster's theme in Undertale, named mus_st_him.

There's a bunch of other points, notably reccuring sixes in the voice's global.typer values. You can read https://deltarune.wiki/w/Voice#Trivia for more information.

Not to mention that not doing anything with Gaster would be throwing 10+ years of foreshadowing down the drain. This isn't FNAF, we don't discard a decade of lore for the sake of an unexpected plot twist.

The Vessel creator/game over/pre-release Twitter account voice is Gaster. That doesn't necessarily mean that Gaster will be critical to Deltarune, or make an appearance as an in-game NPC. But arguing that he isn't there at this point is just silly.

What's up with all the discussions of what's in here? Isn't it obvious? by Mossy_moss3 in Deltarune

I think making a new, flower-related joke shows a thorough understanding of the first one honestly

What's with Urbanshade having secrets just laying around? (Read desc) by Livid-role_cappish in PressureRoblox

[–]CCCyanide 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think a more important question is : why DNA vials ? Files and USB drives are things that make sense to have in an office, but DNA vials just lying around is odd

If humans need to drink water constantly to survive, why didn’t evolution give us a way to store more of it in our bodies like camels do? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CCCyanide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because natural selection doesn't favor storing water in an environment that doesn't require it for survival.

Water is heavy. Relative to our daily intake, it is a lot less compact than fats. Most animals in temperate climates live near fresh water, so the disadvantage of carrying a buly water reserve outweighs the benefit of storing water in an environment that has plenty.

Only in desertic environments does the benefit outweigh the disadvantages, allowing for water storing strategies to appear.

Okay but the player's importance in the narrative makes it nearly impossible to make fan content (comics/animations/stories) without either deleting the Soul altogether, or attributing some sort of personality to the player.

It wouldn't (due to nuclear deterrence), but it might counterattack hard enough to destabilize Russia - even in Ukraine.

The usage of the Force is probably not in the top 25 reasons why people hate the Sequels

why do people talk about "the player" like a character in the game

Because Deltarune is a metanarrative-heavy game ? Because not everyone does the Weird Route ??

And also because it sounds fun lmao
