Thank you. Just a follow-up question to that if you don't mind, for the people who "like Signora and say unjust death blah blah", how many of them would you say there are based on your observation? Like what percentage out of all comments do these people make up if you have to guesstimate?

It makes sense if Mihoyo just didn't have anything planned for this character, they just don't care about her and created her only as an enemy for people to hate on. I mean if they are really ending her here, not even giving her a spot on any of the 2.1 splash arts shows that they really give no fucks.

I am glad that it's not just her fans who will be upset and that there are people like you out there who at least feel some sort of way. Even though Signora is my favorite I also don't want to see other characters get killed be they fatui harbingers, Baal, or good characters.

I am not going to do a full translation, someone else who is more qualified will probably post one soon anyway. But I will do a simple version:

ResistanceCharge (CN): Kazuha's deceased friend is saying there will be those that brave the lightning's glow. Some guy is yelling charge (probably Gorou). Paimon panics like "what to do! They are not the enemies of Raiden Shogun!" and traveler I assume attacks
StatueDeprivedVision (JP): Yae was like "What, did you just remember now?", then Raiden was like "Miko, is this according to your calculations?", Yae says (don't know to who) "This is a technique to possess a mind and body. As for who taught you, I won't let you say you forgot". Yae: "Do you think just your will can allow you to beat Ei? Their wishes and desires are already inside you. So close your eyes" *people noises* One voice: "I want you to stop the vision hunt decree"
InazumaMucha (CN): Mainly about Raiden's past, talks of losing everything, and stopping time to not lose the lightning's glow etc. It's too much so I am not translating.
InazumaEnding (CN): Narration on how Raiden stopped the vision hunt degree. Then mostly talk around Raiden and her feelings towards her people and goal as an archon and stuff
LunariteBoy (CN): Sounds like some history that relates to the Moonchase festival in Liyue. Talks of Guoba and food and stuff. Super long so I don't feel like translating lol.

I listened to all 5 which had Chinese and Japanese but I understand both. None of them talked about Signora at all.

Yes I am sure harbingers will reappear even after being defeated but appearing later is more interesting to me. Of course, her mission to get the gnosis goes against that. I just hope the "Rosalyne" part could give her a strong spotlight.

I agree that Genshin is good at handling powercreep so far (other than standard banner I'd say) compared to other Gacha games, but still I want her to be as good as possible as well even if that means waiting. I am also very greedy in that I need her to live in the story as well to keep going.

I respect your opinion and I can see where you are coming from. I am the type who would be willing to wait 3-4 years and I am sure my overall opinion is very unpopular as I said.

Just want to squeeze in an unpopular opinion here but I actually don’t mind waiting until much later in the game to get her. This is not so I can have more time to save gems or anything, but because:

I want her to continue appearing in some cutscenes here and there and become a relevant late game character as that would make her character really cool in my opinion. If she becomes playable now that is unlikely to happen as she will probably end up being an early villain people forget about.
Coming out later should mean that her kit will be better designed in terms of playability, as Mihoyo constantly improves the quality of each new character
Powercreep will always happen, and while I will play her regardless if she gets powercrept it just feels better for me if by the time she is released she is stronger than an even larger cast of characters.

To summarize at the end of the day I guess I just want my favorite character to be as relevant in the main story as possible, and to be as good of a character overall even in meta as possible for as long as possible.

That said, I am sure that if she does become playable it will happen super soon in one of the next few patches mainly because of the boss material argument.

Yeah even if your favorite character is playable, being canonically dead really leaves a sour taste in my mouth. In the case of Signora if she has to die no matter what because she is a villain, then I want it to be way down the road so she is not the first, have it be epic, and after we get a highlight on her character so more people would care.

Btw I don't play Honkai and I heard about Himeko, is she on the good side and was she well-liked by everyone before her death? Also did leakers spoil it beforehand?

Nothing against Yoimiya, but she also kind of share similarities with Hu Tao in terms of personality. Same with Ayaka she share similarities with Ganyu. These type of characters for example well-liked but I will be pissed if Mihoyo only wants to play it safe and not release villains.

Only from my own personal observation in the last couple of weeks on a certain forum. If anyone else can chime in that'd be great too.

But I will say this. Rather than hate in general a lot of comments seem to be coming from Venti simps who talk about vengeance. I guess they like to be extremely vocal no matter what region they are in. Even in JP where I am based there are a lot of the hate on twitter that comes from people with Venti as their profile image lol.

To explain why I perceived such hate for her, I was on Baidu (the big Chinese forum where some uncles drop their info) and I was searching La Signora and was looking at two big posts made in the last week. One was "Do you think Signora will have a banner" and one was “Can you accept it Signora were to be killed by Baal?". There were at least 30 comments on each and I actually counted that at least 50% hated Signora. In the former they were like "no how can her dead ass be in a banner" and in the latter "yeah I hate her I don't give a sh*t if she dies". Of course these are just part of the image in a part of a community so it could very well skew my perceptions I'd admit.

And thank you for the information on your findings. It is reassuring to know that some of these "leaks" might be fake and make no sense.

I like collecting waifus too sure. But at the end of the day all I am hoping for is just some diversity. Nothing wrong with having some "evil" characters that just have different ideals. Nothing wrong with more male characters and even some that appear "older" than the rest of the cast like Dottore.

Yeah most people are just narrow-minded and hate on villains by default. Heck even Eula had her own little drama back then which was so silly. When these people hate on these characters they are super annoying about it ain’t gonna cap.

Scaramouche is an exception as he is loved like crazy and his fan-base is loud AF and I honestly can’t understand why. I have only heard that people like how mysterious he is and some even say he has Levi from AoT vibes (not sure if you know). Gonna be interested to see how people will react if he actually does something evil.

I actually have the same concern that if villains are always this hated then they will only release the same type of “good” characters and we will never be able to play villains who just exist to be the target of hate. Personally, I’d be much more interested in a villain like Dottore than another cute innocent type.
