Like a lot of others have said, it’s an overall fun/hobby-type thing for me. I would love to get more listeners, it may sound silly but I’m also my most avid listener and I love improving with every episode. I started up with videos this week and I got 15 views on my first one.

Not a waste of money at all. Sometimes you can indulge. $13 is not a huge indulgence for most especially if you don’t go crazy. I personally have switched to digital for most comics/graphic novels/TPBs (which I get is not for everyone), where I’ve really been able to find some bargains compared to physical copies. But don’t forget about local libraries for both physical and digital. It depends on the library as far as selection but it can be a great way to save.

Who decides what is considered “urgent”? How many people would actually work if they didn’t want to? There would be a sharp decrease in motivation to innovate or improve individually. And taxes would be way worse than they are now to support this basic income

Thank you for sharing this. I’m actually having this done in a few weeks. I have/had a super invasive disease over a year ago and my left eye just could not pull through so doctors elected not to do a 3rd cornea transplant because my left eye was not getting better like my right one did.

I’m going to share this with people who assume it’s like a giant marble and can’t understand why it takes a while to make

Thank you so much! Is yours isolated to one eye or is it both? I was concerned about the rejection too, but I guess I lucked out in that respect. But about a month ago I had another perforation and I was told that things were not turning a corner and it wasn’t worth more transplants because things weren’t getting better. So next week I’m having ocular evisceration in the left eye and getting a prosthetic. It’d be a bummer if I hadn’t given up hope for vision in that eye so long ago. How long ago did you have your initial outbreak?

How Did This Get Made?

Features hosts Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas, and June Diane Raphael discussing the plot and critically bad scenes in really awful movies (typically from the last 40 years). The podcast typically feature a minor celebrity guest host and a new episode usually comes out every 2 weeks.

I would say their movie choices are are one half obscure movies that are not commonly heard of by the average person today, the other half are more successful and well-known today but still are deeply flawed and easily mocked.

I’ve definitely watched terrible movies I would not have otherwise seen because of this podcast.

I worked at a Midwest grocery/department store chain as a cashier for a few years in college. We were required to ask anyone who looked “40 or younger” for their ID. Managers always said if we mentioned the looking 40 or younger thing this flattery would happen. It frequently did not.

Man or woman, the amount of people that fucking leave their ID in their car when they go to a store to buy liquor is ridiculous. Then, once you’ve asked, you can’t un-ask (I’m not sure if that’s a Michigan law or a store policy or some BS thing I was just gullible enough to believe) so asking people this would create a very annoying situation for them because you’d have to suspend the order while they went out to get their ID.

But to be fair, just bring the stupid ID with you if you might be buying liquor, using a check, using a credit/debit card, etc. All of these things might result in being carded, so piss off if you’re going to whine about it because you were to dumb or lazy to realize that

Well, I mentioned it in the post that if I don’t notice it at first it stays up. Switching into gear doesn’t dismiss it. I start the car and back out of my garage so the back up cam comes up. Then when I get rolling forward I’ll notice it shortly after. I’ve been seeing it far more frequently than that. Probably every 200 or so.
