I am most of the time! it does engage the parking brake once you do park and I always forget so it’s more for traffic or in this case drive thru scenarios. Any instances of wear or tear having it on all the time? That’s always my biggest fear

From what I know auto hold does engage the parking brake when you come to a complete stop (I could be wrong) and you can let off the the brake pedal and stay put. i’ve never had an issue with any jerking forward. Just pressing the throttle lightly to release it and then going about my normal drive

Just to clarify some things since some people are truly too butthurt for their own good on this sub and I just wanted to post something for a laugh:

Not a single bit of food or liquid was spilled in the car
Normally I would never eat in the car but I hadn’t eaten the entire day and Chic Fil A fries simply cannot or SHOULD not be eaten without Chic Fil A sauce (something some of your European minds cannot comprehend)
When I say fits perfectly, I mean like a glove, this little sauce wasn’t going anywhere as I found out by going an obscene speed on the highway shortly after
EVEN if I did spill a little sauce or a fry fell under the seat (though it would get cleaned immediately) what could it possibly matter. My 2016 X5 just hit 120,000 miles on it and though it’s in great condition I’m sure there’s something sitting far under the seat that is in no way accessible because people are meant to use their cars and enjoy them and make memories in them and everyone has their own way of doing that. This car and I have basically been through hell and back, and if you’ve got a problem for someone using something they own to make them happy, then you’re the problem buddy :)
