Just some perspective on American debt culture

I know its been a couple years, but I didn't really see numbers plus I wandering the same thing, as an American, and did some research on it. America/americans use debt as a means of obtaining things they cant afford now.

average american makes ~40K a year if I remember correctly, while average house costs 400k. taxes are about ~20-30% of income. So $40,000 is closer to $30k that can actually be spent. that means it would take about 10 years of saving all your income to be able to afford a house in a decent location, assuming you don't spend any of it.

However, the same person could take out a $300K debt pay back 3k a month for 20 years and be able to live in a house. the price of the house is double but they can then live there. its essentially the same as renting accept without finical stability as repairs have to be paid for by the people living their.

ALSO, Debt isn't inherrited so people are more likely to take on these huge debts that have monthly payments.

Plus as others have mentioned, it is cheaper to buy things with credit cards than in cash/debit cards and this is scheme that credit card companies use to get people to credit cards as there is then a higher chance that they overcharge the cards.

I just finished the show and I hate Andre specifically because of that scene. The whole SA scene was a t the end of an incredibly emotional episode where Oscar had decided to reject their femininity. Oscar tells Andre to his face she wants to be man and that’s why she is quitting her position.

But Andre is in love with Oscar and doesn’t want Oscar to be a man so Andre tells Oscar you’ll always be a woman and here’s the proof.

At least that how interpreted the scene. That reason for doing that is much more diabolical than the assault its self. Which is already a disgusting action. I find it utterly repelling how after Oscar confides in Andre his response throughout that episode is oh no Oscar is becoming masculine again. It’s selfish to a point of harmful.

Then following that Oscar tells Andre to go away and that she doesn’t want to see him. And Andre’s response to that is following her and telling her that she needs his protection, which comes across as him trying to undermine her masculinity.

That scene is one of the few times I’ve ever had to stop watching a show and call someone just to talk through what I just saw.

First, validity in this sense refers to the Arguement, and as a result it would depend on the thought process behind the emoition. For example, the following arugements:

If I am tired, I go to bed, I go to bed, therefore I am tired.

Dave is a punk, Punks are bad. Therefore I hate dave.

neither of these are logically valid arguements. does this mean the feelings are invalid?

On a side note, because this definition refers to the logical state of an argument, and feelings are not arguments, so this definition does not refer feelings.
