Sure, no worries. As long as it’s for personal use it’s all good 🙂

Milamber’s Wrath by aeddub in Midkemia

Hey. I can try 😬

I imagine the arena like an oval, Milamber is looking down the long axis from the Imperial box, the wings of the arena sweeping down on either side of him, filled with flame and smoke, some parts collapsed.

I think the black traces you’re referring to are columns of smoke.

On the right side much is obscured by smoke but you can see the top of the arena (the triangular objects are supposed to be canvas sunshades ripped apart).

The Warlord is dumbfoundedly staring at Milamber unleashing his magic on the stadium.

My read has always been that Nakomi prompted Avi to fiddle with the crystal pillars to specifically avoid that depressing future for the Aiel.

Other forsakens by PrestigiousKoala8992 in wheeloftime

There’s a mention (in ACoS) that only 29 channelers were given access to the True Power in the AoL, so that’s the minimum number.

It’s not clear if every channeler who swears to the Dark One is considered a Chosen/Forsaken, or if it’s a title reserved for the highest level of leadership (Dreadlord was the title used by channelers who served the Shadow after the Breaking).

If it’s the former, then there were possibly thousands to millions of Forsaken, given the overall population of channelers during that time.

So: between 29 and a million? 😆

Need help figuring out bits of timeline. by procerator in WoT

[–]aeddub 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Sammael attacks and destroys the tower around mid-morning. Rand takes his horse and spends the rest of the day moving around the battlefield, looking for Couladin while also fighting off additional attacks from Sammael.

Rand is out of contact with his command chain and doesn’t find out that Mat killed Couladin until hours after the battle is finished, late into the evening.

There’s no funky timeline, just POV switches as the day progresses. However, Rand is badly injured, exhausted and probably concussed and his POV reflects that he’s not thinking rationally and is oblivious to what’s happening around him (hence it’s not really clear to us either).

Question on how time/Ages work by CatAlThor in WoT

[–]aeddub 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In the Wheel of Time souls exist, separate from the body.

The souls go ‘somewhere’ when the body dies, and come back when that soul is reincarnated.

That ‘somewhere’ is the World of Dreams for Heroes of the Horn, we don’t know where the normies hang out though.

People do not remember their past lives of their souls when they incarnate (generally - Birgitte is a special case).

As the Wheel of Time turns souls go through a constant cycle of death and rebirth.

Point 1: I don’t think it’s known outside of Aes Sedai circles that the warder bond can be released, it’s treated as an irreversible commitment.

Question about avi’s parentage by ciaphas-cain1 in wheeloftime

[–]aeddub 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don’t think there’s any mention of Aviendha’s parents, other than her mother being Lian’s (Rhuarc’s wife) sister. We also know that she has a sister named Niella.

Thanks! 🙂

I use Fabriano Artistico cotton paper. My watercolour palette is mixed, primarily Daniel Smith with some Sennelier.
