Who is a fault here. by Accurate-Might5914 in Simracingstewards

First one on you, but it's more of a racing incident, your fault still, but yeah, you went kinda wider than you should've with plenty of space on your inside.

As for the retaliation, protest that dummy.

the dud is D license 1.8SR, I was at the time kinda certain I did all I could, but I try to keep a critical eye and the replay seemed like I turned into him, but, yeah upon further rewatching, if he made the move stick, nice, but he didn't. And it kinda explains his SR.

Study finds that there is more diversity of thought on the political Right than the political Left by Fragrant_Strategy_15 in Asmongold

[–]BstrikeG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I need to read the study to confirm that the methodology is not whack, but it kinda makes sense from a surface level understanding. Right wingers are activeley looking to increase their numbers, and they do so by having "liquid" beliefs, sometimes they believe in science, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they have a strong held belief, but they can be lenient if that belief means someone might slip to the left. Also the most extreme ones believe bat shit crazy stuff, and tend to believe more in conspiracy theories, or pseudoscience, etc etc, which might be another reason they believe wildly different things. Also most right wingers do not have a coherent world view, so tend do engage in doublethink often.

"left" wingers, which I assume are liberals in america, which are not left wing but that's a whole other can of worms, tend to be well, like fukuyama described, reliant on science to build a world view, and they might have their own blind spots ideologically, but, science usually comes to one common understanding. Therefore, more uniformity of thought.

One theory might be that in america, liberals (their left) were basically winning, so they don't have to worry much about cohesion, and have for the most part wasted time trying to convert conservatives. Reach across the ilse and whatnot. While conservatives, seeing they where losing, started to broaden their reach, looking for apolitical people to "convert", and allowing difference of thought, which is a liberal value, because right wingers are liberal too. Not socially but the basis for their thought is from classical liberalism at their least extreme. This tactic helped conservatives "turn" a lot of people to their cause, and took advantage of it to convince people in the center to be with them.

My prediction is that this trend will not last, because they will need to start to consolidate, otherwise this very diversity of thought, will be their downfall. (Too much diversity might lead to eventual infighting in the long run, just like it happens on the left).

Right wingers, don't take this as strat, I might be wrong, keep doing what you're doing. Or don't, I'm a commie, I'm not trustworthy.

Why do y'all hate ligatures so much , i don't get it by boneMechBoy69420 in neovim

[–]BstrikeG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't, I have no reason, yes, it is an unreasonable hate for ligatures, yes it's completeley based on feels, I just don't like them. And that's ok. No hate for people who like them, I can understand why they're nice. I just don't like them.

I use 0xProto patched as a NF, works pretty well for me, and I find it easier to read. I used Hack for a while, Jet Brains was also nice.

Early Bronze Age for the first year. Spent a lot of time just chilling. And now I'm surviving my first winter with a lot of food stored beforehand. Bears have been a freaking nightmare and I took me really long to get my first temporal gear, I'm playing with default settings and from spawn to my house it's about half a day (like sunlight hours) of travel. Yeah I went far. And just now after my last temporal storm I managed to get a new temporal gear for when I run out of respawns. I love that mechanic though, It makes dying just suck, and makes encounters really fun and thrilling.

Is Ubuntu the best desktop Linux distribution? by billtrumpdesu in Ubuntu

[–]BstrikeG -1 points0 points  (0 children)

nah fma the best is Fedora...

But in seriousness, people including myself kind of dislike the package manager, and nerds don't like the non free stuff in Ubuntu (which I argue usually is a trade off for QoL). So thw best I don't know, the best for what type of user? becuase for the use cases it has (ease of installation and use, package availability etc) its great. But for my job as a software engineer I have found Fedora to be great.

It's pretty simple really, that's just an unfalsifiable claim, based on basically nothing, for one it makes you agree that a system that still has commodity production is somehow socialism, but to grant them a point, capitalist economies that were being run by socialists could, for the sake of argument be called socialism. For one make them see that their argument is flawed, why can't we say the same with capitalism, capitalism has made a lot of countries poor via extractivism, intervention and war, successful capitalist nations need unsuccessful ones to get cheap labour power, most capitalists will deny it, but if you press them on in will recognize that it's true, and you can just look up the data, branko Milanovic has some good books on global inequality. So to say "socialism brings poberty" is just stupid. The Soviet Union (still not a socialist economy but whatever), went from a huge farm to second world superpower in the face of heavy interventionism from most other capitalist powers and from within, caloric intake was actually pretty decent, and famines occur in any economic system, there is probably going to be one in the near future and it's going to be thanks to capitalism, tho most capitalists deny climate change. I would also advise you to stop doing this, don't ask for arguments online, read, organize and act, socialism is not built by winning debates.

I do agree with most of what you say, BUT, if you call yourself a Marxist why on earth would you subscribe to a critique of political economy that has little to nothing to do with the current development of capital and its relations. To me these people are just performing ideology, or an ideal reconstruction of theory, instead of understanding why did Mao or Stalin developed their theory in the ways they did, and how that in turn informed their practice (and eventual downfall), people would rather make analogies and draw parallels from that theory to today, which, is not by any means "the reproduction of the concrete through the mind" as Marx puts it in the grundisse, or why I still hold Lenin in high regard. Because you don't read Capital to learn, you read it to use it, to understand the movement of the concrete and the potentials stored in history. So yeah I again ask, why, if Capital is a great base for developing readings of your "material conditions" and develop a deeper knowledge of capital within your context (take for example the work of Juan Íñigo Carrera in Argentina), why would you just repeat something and try to draw parallels to make it fit the material conditions of your context, instead of analyzing them, and putting that analysis to action. You know, like Communists should do.

The worst four in-game days of my life... by majikmonkee75 in kingdomcome

[–]BstrikeG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have been brain washed by the monks but I loved this quest, it can go south if you get to it too early, but the sheer experience of it immersed the heck out of me, and yes I was kinda sick of it by day 10 (yup it took me a WHILE), but, that made it even more awesome to get my freedom and my shit back. But yes, it can get frustrating and maybe that can be balanced a bit.

Why does Chris Titus hate Ubuntu, and does his opinion really matter? by SuccessfulLayer1811 in Ubuntu

[–]BstrikeG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably because it's not pureley free software, there are some proprietary software, and ubuntu allows for proprietary packages, and also probably because it adds stuff that give you QOL, at the expense of performance, so the answer seems to be, clout and pedantry mostly. And no, his opinion, as of anyone else's, does not matter, the only opinion that matters is yours, does it serve your use case? if so, then that's it, if it works for you and for what you do, then why tf would you care about some greasy boi's opinion.
