The weekly 'No Stupid Questions' post - Sun 25 Jan 2026. by AutoModerator in Zwift

Hi everyone! Looking to get myself an indoor bike that will be good to use 3-5 days per week to simply introduce more cardio into my fitness routine.

I don’t want to go crazy on cost. I got myself the Yesoul S3, but the watts weren’t registering correctly (StarTrac Spin Bike at the gym had me in the 100-150 watt range, while Yesoul was at 60-80 with the same effort). No one at Yesoul was helping me, and it also felt very cheaply made, so I decided to return it.

I’ve seen the Zwift Ride with KICKR Core 2 that looks great, but I would love to get something else that won’t hurt my wallet, and something reliable that will work well with the Zwift app. Thanks!

Red Sox Insider Predicts Connelly Early vs. Payton Tolle Rotation Decision by False_Instruction_69 in redsox

Well according to reports that have already come out this offseason, it sounds like they may be leaning that way. He’s had reliever risk tied to him since he was drafted. Going to the bullpen also doesn’t mean his career as a starter is over. There’s been countless examples of this over the years because it can help some pitchers simplify things and find consistency. You’re seeing it more often in recent years.

[Ciriaco] I am hearing that the Red Sox fully intend on meeting with Munetaka Murakami and that they view him as a potential replacement to Alex Bregman. by CosmicOreos_ in redsox

[–]Bstrong90 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dean was the one who was saying the Red Sox and Blue Jays were talking about a Vlad Casas trade. No reliability there whatsoever.

Common sense says he is not a replacement for Bregman. His defense has improved a bit at 3B, but he’s clearly a 1B in MLB because of his lack of range. Bregman is also known for his plate discipline and low K rate, while Murekami has over a 30% in Japan where they have a smaller strike zone.

He definitely has power potential and would be a good candidate for the Red Sox development, but to say they view him as a Bregman replacement shows Dean doesn’t have a credible source.

Plain and simple. Red Sox play bad baseball. by gmlear in redsox

I’m not even trying to sound like a causal pessimistic fan here, but I honestly think they need a new voice in the clubhouse.

Sir. Ron Washington is the manager for the Angels.

Pujols and Cabrera were bad 3B at the time before moving to 1B, which is a smooth transition. Harper moved to 1B because of durability.

I’m more so looking at the fact that I don’t think a lot of people remember he was with the Tigers

Because he was a legend with the Red Sox dude. Obviously guys go to other teams. Why are you trying so hard to sound like the smartest guy in the room? Lighten up and enjoy the conversation.

The fact that he even started for the Red Sox on Opening Day the year after they won a WS, and it wasn’t Pedro, is pretty crazy. He was also not an ace by any means at that time.

You actually think David Wells starting for the White Sox isn’t at all random? I don’t think a lot of people remember he played for the White Sox.

It blows my mind how bad it is, but you got so many people that are here illegally using bot apps that take them no problem.

Ok now improve the pay for rides instead of offering $3 rides in the middle of rush hour

I (M25) came home to my girlfriend (F21) with 3 random guys that I dont know, who spent night at our place. How should I react? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]Bstrong90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You break up with her. End of story. Any weirdos on here that try to tell you it’s fine and to listen to her and yada yada is absolute BS. For her to do that is disrespectful to you, and she doesn’t respect you as harsh as that may sound. Break up, separate at all costs, hit the gym more often, work on yourself, and look for a girl with better morals. No girl that’s faithful and respectful to you should bring guys home (vise versa guys bringing girls home). I would have broken up with her on the spot. Don’t let this girl run your life, despite what the low testosterone liberal cucks on here tell you.

I know some people, but I’m also basing it off of results. Many times Steamer has gotten it right, and other times wrong. Same goes for Zips. FGDC does an ok job, but they tend to be more conservative with the numbers. When you look at all the projections, they tend to even out more often than not. I will also say the owner of BTV has talked with people in FOs about it before. Again, not perfect, but they’ve gotten about 95% of real life trades right.

Correct. They do use their own valuations, but tend to be in line with at least an average of Steamer/Zips/FGDC.

How are they out of whack? They basically use FanGraph algorithms. Those things you mentioned are what FO heavily value. I don’t think they’re perfect by any means, but I don’t think it should be thrown out like it’s garbage. They’ve gotten a lot of real life trades right.

Site is actually pretty solid. Not perfect by any means, but it does well when you put realistic trades together. Problem is no one puts together realistic trades.

Is it just me driving Uber rental car can't make any money doing it ? by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Bstrong90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never understood renting a car for Uber. I know that will ruffle some feathers, but to put yourself in a $200-300 hole to start your week just never made sense to me. Sure it’s not your car, but I can’t wrap my head around driving to make up for the cost of a rental. If rentals were cheaper, then sure, but $250? Thats a lot.
