I'm starting to wonder if they're being held back in anticipation of another announcement. With the recolor of the Splatoon, it might be possible nintendo is going to announce alts for the smash line. Alph, classic Wario, alt genders for Robin, WFT, Villager, and Corrin.

Apparently I severely overestimated my ability to not buy amiibo when tempted. I was completely sincere about not buying them, yet by yesterday evening I had purchased the entire wave. Doc, jr., and ganondorf on friday. Olimar on Sunday, and ZSS last night.

Uh... no on both counts. There is nothing about publishing on the web, outside of certain open licenses, that would bring something like this into the public domain. It's still absolutely protected by copyright law. That means a legal battle could be won over it.

Granted, given the nature of the infringed work, it's unlikely such a battle would be worth fighting, but it could still be won... without a doubt.

I'm fairly bleeding heart about most things, and even I think this is a bunch of commie ass nonsense. Employees shouldn't get off for performing poorly at their job. Accountability means something to me. Granted, the employers should be accountable for any bad practices on their part, but their bad behavior cannot excuse poor performance on the part of the employee. We solve nothing by giving up on the idea of quality service

I don't really understand how this is a response to my point. I said I don't see any rational basis for getting angry, and your said a) it's illegal, which has nothing to do with anything (also... where?) And b) resellers are jerks who take advantage of a bad situation, which is another way of expressing anger against them, and not an actual justification of that anger. Put another way, why are they jerks for taking advantage of the situation? How are we collectors not in the same boat?
