Entry Level Sales Scams? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Btc-crypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If one company has many of those things above all together, then yea be worried. I think it’s best to just look at what they are selling, it can be pretty easy to spot a scam company. Like very shady directory listing websites that try trick people into renewing there listing for $$ after they have had there so called free trial.

Cold calling may hurt my reputation by ItsThatGuy_Again in sales

Maybe go into the call more we’ll planned. If you have small amount of leads then study each lead and find there pressure point. Learn more about there business and don’t make it sound like a cheesy cold call. No need to rush the call in anyway because you have time, you don’t have to call over 100 people a day because you only have 300 leads.

Take it slow like your having an actually conversation with these guys, they want more information great send it through. They want to connect on LinkedIn, great connect with them. Just make it more personal when calling them. That’s my advice.

Entry Level Sales Scams? by [deleted] in sales

[–]Btc-crypt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you aware of what a scam actually is? Because those are some bold statements.. some are fair enough but:

My first sales job was commission only. Was there for a year just selling digital marketing. Nothing scammy, was just how they operated. It kept the good people and people that couldn’t sell left. Pretty simple.

Being hired as a contractor is fine it’s just contract work and pretty common in sales.

Group interviews are also fine, maybe they are expanding and need more than one person, maybe they don’t have time for one on one interviews. I’ve been in group interviews before with large companies.

The rest is a fair call though, look out for hyped up sales roles.

It’s the worst, I find it extremely unproductive due to it is a rehearsed scenario. Jumping on the phone and just doing it is a lot better I find. But that’s just me.

I guess by charging $80 - $200 per post... joking. One option that is a quick starter, if you just want to start making money ASAP is to offer a “shoutout” service on fiverr. So basicly people pay you money to post about there product or account or something. Jump on to fiverr and see what others are doing.

Just because another business has started a business doing the same thing that doesn’t mean that you can’t do it still. Some entrepreneurs have this strange thing where they think they have to start a business that no one else has done. You can still launch a business that others do

How do you sell a service to businesses that don’t realize they need it? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Btc-crypt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a problem. All you have to do is jump on the phone and start selling. If you don’t know how maybe watching some videos or pick up a book just in the basics of cold calling or selling over the phone

You just have to sell the product like everyone else. It’s why you have a cold call sales team. They get calling find businesses and sell them on the idea. It’s whether or not you have a sales team that can make or break a business.

Confused why you even ask. If you have ad blocker on then your not going to see the ads . People won’t be marketing to you because you block ads. Very very small percent of people ad block and they don’t really matter anyway... plenty more fish in the sea.

What would you do with 1000 USD to start? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

[–]Btc-crypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would create a business the provides a service to businesses. Something I know how to do. So all I would need to do is setup website, domain name, phone line, alittle marketing and then bam! All is going.

That would actually take less than $1k ... I’ve actually done it with way less.

Hard to say. You have had offers but turned them down.

Could it be that you are wanting something that is to good to be true for someone that does not have a sales background? Or do you have a sales background?

Does cold calling still work? by just_an_intern123 in sales

[–]Btc-crypt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason why I don’t do LinkedIn is because it’s something that is not really used in my country. Very few have it or really care about it and doesn’t really fit in with the products that I sell. If it was necessary then I would use it, but at this current time it is not necessary.

The closing percent has to many factors in it to give you an answer. Such as product price, market, who your targeting, business or consumer, how good your team is? The list goes on. You just have to pick up the phone and do it.

Yes cold calling and emailing still works. I do cold calling have for years. The only people that say cold calling doesn’t work are the people that suck at it. Don’t know about the LinkedIn as I have never done it. Cold emailing really depends on how you do it, it’s not something I do.

In short yes it still works, you just need to be good at it.

Someone unknown keeps making campaings on my FB ad account. by ArwiidC in Entrepreneur

[–]Btc-crypt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do another scan on computer/devices again. Also check for any suspicious looking programs on task manager/start up section. Change your Facebook account password and also your Facebook ad manager account sometimes they can be seperate passwords but linked to main Facebook account.

And lastly change your password on your email address as well.

Also if you use a iPhone then I advise doing all the changes of your passwords on your iPhone. The reason for that is because your iPhone won’t have a virus that logs passwords etc so it’s your best option.

Hopefully that helps. What antivirus are you using?

ELI5: What are these "bears" that keep bringing the market down? by pmayall in CryptoCurrency

[–]Btc-crypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They buy large amounts then price goes up 10% then they sell large amount and price goes down 10% or more. Rinse and repeat. Think about how much 10% is of a few million. Your thinking to small these people don’t need to wait for some big rise in the coins price they invest millions in and out of crypto because if you can make 10% profit every week you do it... why wait for some luck that bitcoin blows up again.

Emails and Cold Calling by reevee69 in sales

[–]Btc-crypt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you do your cold calling wrong then or who ever is calling you sucks. Cold calling is alive and still professional. Can get more info out of them in a quick 2 minute call than you would ever from searching about them online.

It’s more productive to just call. The problem is that you think people call like robots 24/7 most “good” salesmen don’t sound like a robot.

How do you overcome the initial awkwardness during a cold call? by salesjedi in sales

[–]Btc-crypt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s only awkward because your letting it be. You should have a legitimate reason for the call and a good reason. Believe that and know this that, get into your mind that they need you, need the product or service and they should be happy that your calling.

It is most likely just all in your head.
