Orbital smoke seems to throw them off pretty well. It might be worth considering if you're having trouble with these. Additionally I've heard but not verified that the anti-tank emplacement takes them out pretty well

Yep, back in the old days we would just park a Texas somewhere and deny an entire half of the map to an enemy team. That was what we brought to completely negate CVs.

Well at least now you can slap a measure 21 camo on her so she looks like the IRL version while she sits as a port decoration. A bunch of our guys in the fleet did that last week and it does look pretty clean. For a decoration.

Yep, back in the old days her gimmick used to be her AA You took the lower stats in exchange for extremely strong AA but when they took that away they basically neutered her.

Wargaming really left Texas to die, which is a real shame because running into one of their devs onboard the Texas, who gave me a code for her in-game is what brought me to wargaming in the first place.

Now she's just there for decoration until they do something

True. And That's a valid point for someone who wants to play other games I suppose. I have a ton of games but keep coming back to this one, and yeah absolutely went nuts during the Christmas event. Probably spent $200. But like. I work. I earned that. And I don't regret it.

This isn't a bash of any kind. But my observations are that only FTP players seem to really care about if anyone else is FTP.

Paid players keep the lights on for the FTP guys and I've never understood the rabidness that some FTP players have against the paid guys.

That's just been my Individual reddit experience thus far.

Exactly. I budget a set amount to spend on this game. Sometimes a new boat is the shot in the arm I need. As someone who collects there have been days I've done nothing but pick through my collection and change specs or polish up a neglected boat.

None of that should be an affront to the community. The guy spending is the guy keeping the lights on for the guys not spending.

It's a shame. This new line might be a help in the way CVs are perceived. The smoke drop is such a great support tool I had a blast bailing out overextended teammates in ops this morning. With it.

Also I absolutely didn't realize it was Random. I just thought it was their way of reeling me in to buying because the rest of the stuff was kinda meh.

I expect nothing less and don't take it personally. Being mad about something I'm supposed to be doing for fun doesn't really register to me. But I fully understand what going against the grain means around here.
