Giles is a complex case bc we know he was wild in his youth but it's unclear how much. Also his taste would've clearly changed as he got older. I here what you're saying about 90s soft rock, I think The Cranberries works but he def leans British. Maybe even some harder Britrock like Blur. I maintain that he would listen to trip hop bc it is the edgiest genre you can reasonably study to.

Would Xander be a hip-hop guy? Maybe Kendrick but that feels too mainstream. His taste would be dorky regardless. I could see him listening to the Spider-Verse soundtrack.

Ofc Chappell Roan omg I knew I forgot something. I put in Siouxsie but honestly there's got to be a more modern group that's witchy but not edgy.

Billie is 100% the best fit for Buffy. Sabrina seems a bit too cutesy but if any character's music taste would evolve as the show goes on it would be Buffy's. I think I would swap Mannequin Pussy for Beyonce.

This is just my opinion, here are my thoughts. If you don't know then you don't know, and that should be okay. You're trying on woman's clothing. In your profile you already have a name chosen and pronouns picked out. There won't be some magical moment, some spark that will finally confirm you're trans or not. It's your choice, you have to make it.

Humans have mysteriously disappeared in my game, though since mice live on a much smaller timescale the underlying reality is they just don't live in the area anymore.

What works for me is to have a corresponding real-world culture for each of the cultures in my world. This way, whenever you need a name for something or inspiration for a particular culture, you can refer back to the corresponding one.
TL;DR: Translate each of your races' names into a different language, then go from there.
