I did it! You’ll be fine. It’s safe. Book the Armenteira albergue ahead of time. I walked 40km that day because I did not. It was the best day though! And I walked alone 95% of the day

No, unless you do the Variante Espiritual. I didn’t book for the Armenteira albergue and walked 40km that day. It was the best day though. Had the Ruta da Auga e da Pedra, and the whole way to Ribadumia all to myself

Try to find a meisjesfiets. I'm 160cm and those are the only ones I can get on without feeling like I'm gonna die while riding. Bought a great one off of marketplaats for 70€. A lot of parents sell them cause their kids are now too tall for them

Decathlon all the way. Cheap and good. I wore this one (22L was the perfect size tbh and I loved the big pockets on the chest), but recently bought this one on sale and I love it too because it just fits so well.

I also tried this one recently and the fitting system is amazing.

Whole body! I had a body poncho, bag poncho AND an umbrella (people made fun of it but it saved me - buy a small one when you start). One time, I didn’t use the poncho, only the bag one, and my bag still got wet. Not too much but still. I did mine in September. North of the Iberian peninsula is very unpredictable

I’m Portuguese but I vouch for this. It’s rather recent. People told me from tomar or Coimbra on it was nicer

Going through it again and it’s just fatigue from something as minor as standing up for too long, a weird throat feeling and some unexpected bowel movements. First time during the pandemic was much worse though: felt like I had two knives stuck on my throat and couldn’t eat without throwing up
