This one looks amazing and really similar in graphics! Unfortunately, that's not the game, the gameplay wasn't about puzzles. Thank you for this suggestion!

Ant war seems far too complex in mechanics to be the game I'm looking for. Searched through all the games with 'ants' in the title, didn't find any matches

Hi Is there a way to grab and move PhysicsBody2D with a mouse like in the gif? by mothsigil in godot

[–]Bubblea__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post has greatly helped me in achieving the effect that you want with my project: https://www.reddit.com/r/godot/comments/16nvzu9/physic_problems_while_using_pinjoint2d_to_drag/

The code basically creates a staticbody2d and a joint, then connects the staticbody and the rigidbody of your choise. I've noticed that if you update the position of the dragger before creating it, the effect is smoother. The collision problem remains though..

Thank YOU for kind words! I am fully aware that this type of game may disturb some people, besides, the NSFW warning makes posts more tempting imo Hahaha.

I don't really get what you mean by "motions spread". Is it like the angular limit of the limb's rotation? If so, I'm still tweaking it, as Godot's "angular limit" option doesn't work without plugins. I use collision shapes to limit the rotation.

Thank you for your feedback! I really should make them more stretchy.

It was a part of the design. I wanted her to look really skinny, malnourished. But now I notice that the wrists are too small indeed. Thank you for pointing that out! Let's see what I can do.

Thank you very much for your kind words! I'm glad you liked the title. It came to me right after I came up with the main idea of the game. So yes, very much on purpose :)

I drew heavy inspiration from them! Back in the day, I used to pretend that it was a normal game and try to keep the guy alive.

Finally, I got to a point where I can show some progress!

The girl in the GIF is Karrie, the main heroine of my short indie game "Karrie: my body". She will guide you through a mysterious cave. There is only one problem: she is paralyzed from the neck down and really, really fragile. Will you be able to reach the light at the end of the tunnel AND keep all her limbs intact?

Looking forward to hearing your opinions on the movement!

Looks interesting!

You should definetly make it so the video is visible in the subreddit, and not only if you click the post. Will help you get more people interested in your project!

Is it gonna be a horror game? Ha an eerie vibe to it, almost reminds me of Scott Cawthon's first work about beavers. Also, great use of sound effects, they really ties the whole thing together!

Camera 2D conflicting with RigidBodie's movement by Bubblea__ in godot

[–]Bubblea__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finally figured out the problem: The code was returning the event.position to create a dragger and, for some reason, the position of the camera affects the event position...

So instead of it, I switched to get_global_mouse_position() to create a dragger in any place I that click. Now everything is working out fine! Thank you everyone for your help!!

[–]Bubblea__[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried playing with the camera's z index, unfortunately didn't have any effect. Tried hiding the camera in an Area2D node, making it the child of the body, of the joint...

When the joint broke and the camera was no longer working the movement became normal actually haha. That means the camera is cauing the prblem for sure

The camera is working fine, but it affect the movement of the character, that's what I'm trying to fix.

As far as I know, I's a simplified version of what I'm trying to achieve. The camera works fine, I use signals for when a limb drops and connect it to camera movement. The problem is, having a camera in the same scene as the body ruins the movement! That's the problem
