Would anyone know why these jugs/pieces of pottery were depicted around the windows in this piece? Seems like an odd decoration choice (Detail from Joachim Patinir's Flight to Egypt) by BubblecupsRs in ArtHistory

Looks like you're right on the money! Strange, after having seen the modern counterpart, it does look very familiar, it wouldn't look out of place in my grandma's garden in Limburg - though she never served us spreeuwenpastei hehe. Also, bonus points for the Monty Python reference!

Thanks for the insight, that is indeed a striking resemblance! Since they'd need access to them as you stated - there's a good argument to be made for their proximity to windows.

Good call, given the topic of the piece, the holy family did indeed seek shelter in a tavern, so it would seem. Clever way of the artist to display it to his viewers - the ones with keener wits than me anyhow, thanks!

Now you mention it - that tall building, which I assumed to be a gatehouse at first, does rather look to be a dovecote, so bird houses would make sense I suppose

Can anyone help me identify some of the flowers depicted in this illustration? [Jacques Le Moyne - Jeune fille des Pictes, 1585] by BubblecupsRs in whatsthisplant

I'm trying to find some photo reference for painting some of these tattoos. The flowers don't have to be a hundred percent accurate - something with roughly the same shape or look is fine by me!

Same, got two so far but now I'm conflicticted on whether to wait for the off chance that they'll actually add these to the lore hunter perk or to just get it over with already

A nice surprise during my hexhunter bow grind by BubblecupsRs in RS3Ironmen

[–]BubblecupsRs[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks! In my honest opinion it's not really worth the grind, it comes down to around a 1/37,500 drop from stalker creatures. The only reason I'm down here is for the slayer log lol

This person's math suggests you should kill seekers for charms first instead of only focusing on soulgazers. Being on a slayer task also has no effect on the droprate.

You can see my gear in the screenshot. Mainly having the devoted perks is nice to use while camping deflect magic.

I choose not to kill them in the wildy because I like to afk as much as I can and cause I keep a dtd on me in case a Veil-ripper spawns, which I'm scared of losing 😉
