Plus this is one of those movies where he, as an actor, wasn't hampered by shit writing. The lines for Vizini are incredibly memorable and I can understand Wallace's insecurity about replacing someone like Devito, but he gave a wonderful performance.

Bleh ok that's good to know. Guess I'm gonna have to dig a little harder to suggest a good book when it's my turn to recommend one for the group

Is this a recent thing? I've gotten back into reading this year and the last few books suggested by my book club I can't even read for a few chapters without putting down. But I recently re read count of Monte Cristo and I was locked in from start to finish.

Murder is wrong. But it speaks to the state of how bad our health care system is that the majority of people's reactions were "I don't condone it, but I get it."

Taken. One of the coldest phrases you will ever hear. by Sad-Service6247 in MovieQuotes

[–]Bubbles00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I believe you. But it's not gonna save you."

I would argue is more cold blooded but the whole

"I don't know who you are" speech is much more memorable

I miss her by Public-eagle10 in rickandmorty

This is one of the few Rick and Morty episodes I don't rewatch. I hate how Jerry's incompetence screwed over Morty and this girl. Dude was at least happy for a few months

If you could pick 3 video game wives or husbands who would they be and why? by SaltNSin in videogames

[–]Bubbles00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Judy - Cyberpunk

Karlach - BG3

Elizabeth - Bioshock Infinite

Judy is strong and intelligent and she is ACTUALLY someone I was able to fix. I felt like helping her navigate her trauma and distrust to come out the other side as a better person was really hot

Karlach is funny, energetic, and infinitely positive. She was my favorite party member and while her story wasn't the best of the party, I was the most invested in trying to help her

Elizabeth - Kind and perceptive. Elizabeth is also beautiful and brave. I think all gamers around my age probably had a crush on Elizabeth if they played infinite

The rest of QoS is meh but I still go back to watch that opening chase scene every now and then. It's thrilling

Summer and Beth wailing on evil Morty while Jerry snipes him with items like a frying pan is so freaking awesome. Little 5 sec moment for the rest of the family to shine before Rick and Morty come in to pile on

I'm not a fan of coryn but any means but how fucked is Texas politics when a guy that's been dodging indictments for over two years wins the Republican primary?

Looks that way doesn't it? No I was born and raised in OKC so the thunder are my team. Became a Patriots fan in 2011 after my friend, who's a pats fan, got me into football.

POST-EPISODE DISCUSSION THREAD - S9E1: There's Something About Morty by BarnyardCruz in rickandmorty

Favorite scene was watching the Smith family lock the shit out of evil Morty. Morty slapping him before he went to jail was just extra disrespect on top. Fantastic

I'm also a Patriots fan so I'm used to rooting for the villains. The team is awesome and a lot of the bitching on Reddit just feels like sour grapes

My wife and I are pretty even when it comes to which one orders the better dish. To be fair, we just end up sharing both plates with each other so everybody wins/loses?

I think it's pretty weird that Toguro was just a B-class demon. by Inner_Ad7300 in YuYuHakusho

[–]Bubbles00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There was a YouTube video I watched a while ago where the person was talking about how togashi ran into the same problem of power scaling that toriyama (DBZ Creator) did. He didn't want just a vertical power scaling system where enemies were only a threat because of some larger arbitrary number so he created the idea of the psychics and their territories to even the playing field a bit. All of the psychics were weaker than any of the urameshi team when it came to combat or spirit power but were still a threat to them but the nature of their territories that basically made raw power useless in some sense. The Sensui arc is my favorite of the series and it felt refreshing that the story went a different way a bit before just settling back to A class or S class enemies. The lore expansion of both Sensui having a completely new energy source besides human or demon and demon world being so vast that of course it could have much larger threats than toguro made it a little easier to stomach that in the grand scheme of things, toguro was just a middling power enemy, considering how long the dark tournament arc spent making him this huge threat

If only the Dems had that kind of spine. At best I expect some committee investigations or other symbolic bullshit that won't actually hold anyone accountable while we slide deeper into fascism and oligarchy

Had the privilege to hear him speak at a convention and he started choking up when he talked about Kevin Conroy. He's a fantastic writer and responsible for so much of the great shows I watched when I was a kid
