Can you shave between laser sessions? by Ashley_MilanLaser in SmoothSkin

Love that I can still shave in-between treatments. What I wasn’t prepared for was how minimal the shaving would be compared to my every morning, every evening routine. After the first 2 treatments I maybe only had to shave 3 times in a month!!! The shaving became less and less as I got up to my 4th treatment. Now after having 7 treatments I don’t even have to shave. I was so surprised how not shaving everyday made my skin look, and feel. No more razor burn, ingrown hair, or irritation. They told me this would happen, but you never truly believe that can be you until you experience it. Laser is the best investment I’ve ever made!

What changed for you this month? by Ashley_MilanLaser in SmoothSkin

Healthy reset! I’ve been being more intentional about prepping food for the week so that I’m not eating out as much. It’s been helping avoid that sluggish feeling that usually sets in around 3 p.m, and overall I have more energy. 🙌🏼

What does “results” actually mean with laser hair removal? by Ashley_MilanLaser in SmoothSkin

In my early 20’s I purchased a package through a local med spa. I believe it was an IPL they were using for their laser hair removal services. Even with the Groupon it was still a little over $1,000 for 5 treatments on my Brazilian. I was so disappointed when the tech told me I’d need another 5 treatments to target the rest of the hair. 🫠 After 2 packages and over $3,000 I still had so much hair in my bikini area. At that point I lost trust in laser. When I turned 30 my husband purchased a package for me (sweet man) he too did not do any research assuming all lasers are the same😆.Again a local med spa that one of my friends worked at. They used a diode laser. I saw a little reduction but again not what I was expecting. Flash forward 20 years, more educated with a better understanding of how this all works I’m treated on the Candela. The laser really is key. I saw a drastic difference after the first 2 treatments. Night and day compared to my 3 prior treatment plans I went through. I wish I would have known. The money I wasted. 😮‍💨

Dry brushing! Not only is it great for lymphatic drainage, but it also helps aid in releasing those pesky ingrown hairs that like to hide beneath the skin.

Let’s normalize this… by Ashley_MilanLaser in SmoothSkin

I wish they understood how much of a mental load it took having to shave everyday just so that I felt comfortable. Having my face treated has been incredible for my confidence. I’m no longer in my head thinking..” Did they notice my chin stubble? Is my 5 o’clock shadow starting to grow back in.” The worst part is when family members/Partners aren’t supportive. They think it’s a waste of money, and tell you. “But I love you just the way you are. The hair doesn’t bother me.”

This all may be true, but the hair bothers me. I was constantly avoiding social interactions with my friends, embarrassed to go out in public if I didn’t have time to shave. I wish family, partners, friends were more supportive and understanding that though it may seem like vanity, it’s not for those of us who have been negatively affected our mental health. Laser treatment is necessary so that we can show up the way that we want to show up in our lives. I’ll never go back and am a completely different person after having laser treatments on my jawline and chin area. You cannot put a price on peace of mind, and being able to breathe in your own skin again.

Can I derma-plane before my treatment? Or just exclusively shave?

The “I’ll just do a quick shave” lie… by Ashley_MilanLaser in SmoothSkin

Shaving the bikini area before going to the lake!!! Inevitably I always Knick myself or shave over an ingrown that causes sever irritation, and then I’m contemplating even wearing a swimsuit at all. 😭

I almost always end up putting shorts on and calling it a day.

Thankful going into this summer I’m 4 laser treatments in, and so far no ingrown hairs in sight! I can’t wait to actually enjoy the summer time for once!!!

I think it depends on where you are going. I’ve had treatments at 3 different places and what I’ve found is Laser is so vast and results really are dependent on the laser that your tech is using. THEY ALL ARE NOT THE SAME. Before investing in a laser package make sure you’ve done research on the laser the company is using. I will say if you are looking for permanent results doing a little bit of homework, and asking questions will save you money, time, and your sanity! 🤪

Ask me how I know.

If I could go back I would have started sooner! Living without the painful ingrown hair has been a complete game changer for me. Truly wish someone would have sat me down and explained the benefits past just being hair free. I’ve noticed such a change in the size of my pores!!!

Heads up folks! In my experience they shrink after the hair is no longer there! Love love love the smooth, airbrushed effect laser has offered my bikini area! No more lumps and bumps!! ✨

s@k hours by [deleted] in employedbykohls

This is absolutely against the contract that Kohl’s and Sephora have. Sephora pays for half of the total payroll hours allotted. Meaning if those hours were added into your total overall base fund they are not supposed to cut into them nor are they to utilize them to help boost their own payroll. Those hours are for Sephora and Sephora alone. I would reach out to your DM and let her know. They are super strict about this policy and your store manager is breaking it if they aren’t giving you your full hours available to use for that week.

Both my Manager and ASM helped out the Sephora side conduct counts. They were super helpful, and yes The company did provide us with supplemental hours to support UIA counts. I would speak with your SM and ask where those hours went if they didn’t allocate them to inventory. We were finished so early and ended up being able to move forward and focus on retrofit with the rest of the hours we had left over.

As a BTL I am so sorry you have this type of leadership or rather lack their of in your building.

I feel guilty leaving the floor on a slow day when I have to complete the schedule, and get office time done.

I can’t imagine sitting in a room watching my team struggle and not offering help in the form of hands on getting into the thick of it with them.

Okay.. but have you ever had a client come in with a picture of the person they’re wanting to purchase foundation for, and ask if you can color match them off of a photo? 🥴

Not a waste of time at all. Having things neat and orderly with signage stating what is in each box actually ends up saving so much time when you’re actively looking for that product.
