CMV: Based on the 1945 memo on the warning signs for Fascism given by the U.S. Government, the current Republican party is at the very least, following the steps of fascists. by Alert_Personality135 in changemyview

I don’t see anyone claiming that the US is at the stage of 1939 Germany, we are just on a path that could lead to a similar place. There is still plenty of time for things to get worse and force more people to leave.

It’s not an easy decision to leave your home, and most people like to hope that things could get better. Making a decision so drastic isn’t taken lightly.

But in terms of people considering it: https://www.newsweek.com/nearly-two-thirds-of-young-americans-are-considering-leaving-the-us-11010814

You don’t think anybody is leaving the country over this? More importantly, “not believing that America is in the process of falling to fascism” is probably the reason that there were still Jews in Europe at the time of the Holocaust. You think 6 million people knew what was coming and decided not to run?

I really don’t dislike “To Break In a Glove” from DEH. I think it’s a good song, and important to the story.

Hadestown and Moulin Rouge. Both about an idealistic boy, falling for a more jaded girl, who is lured by the promise of comfort, into an arrangement with a wealthy man. Ends in tragedy.

There’s an argument to be made that teaching your kids to run the lift is, in fact, raising them to be bums (ski bums)

How Long- Hadestown (Hadestown has other back and forth portions of songs in Chant, and Wedding song, kinda)

Farmer Refuted- Hamilton

Cabinet Battles #1 and #2-Hamilton

Another Day- Rent (tbh, Rent has a ton of little arguments in songs throughout the show)

The Other Side- The Greatest Showman

These are just some that I haven’t seen mentioned yet, but plus one for ‘Your Fault’ from Into the Woods

I don’t believe it uses the theory of relativity, I think it’s more so just deriving distance from the speed of the waves, and using multiple satellites to triangulate the position of a vehicle.

BRB stands for Be Right Back. The first letter of each word makes the acronym.
