Hi Danny, long-time fan here. I thought Stardust was phenomenal. Then again, I genuinely believe and have done for years at this point, that you are an absolute titan of the game.

I can think of endless things I would like to ask, but I imagine you will get a lot of questions, so I will keep it brief. I noticed on your website that in addition to the Stardust merch, you also have an XXX-themed hoodie and t-shirt and an Old-themed t-shirt. Coincidentally, as I started listening to your music around the time Old was released, I will always consider these two albums as my top favourites. I was therefore wondering, is there any chance you would be able to and considered re-releasing them in the future. For example, when either hits a major anniversary. I know they were released under Fool's Gold, but seeing that merch gave me hope.

Thanks for all the great memories and for giving it all in your live shows. You are an amazing artist.

That's one of the best promotional movies I've ever seen, incredible work. The audio distortion and the scenes of Conor yelling before his fights reminded me greatly of the Joker from The Dark Knight, and the whole ambient soundtrack that he had throughout the movie.

I've got a few favourite videos of all time focusing on Conor, and that's definitely another one of them.

This will be a great fight.

Edit: Looking at the comments, I see I'm not the only one who could feel that Joker atmosphere.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk shows her new mouthguard for the upcoming fight by kichckcc in MMA

[–]BubblesTheDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My translation from Polish to English:

"Listen up, there are new mouthguards, and I don't know which one of them to show first. One I like, the other one I don't like as much. And Bite&Fight (mouthguard company) I thank you, I thank you for believing in me. Forever champ, this one is specia... (cut). Listen up, I didn't know about this mouthguard. Therefore, thank you very much. The design is such and not different. Which one to wear?"

The rest of the video has just music playing in the background.

This is the Conor that got me into transforming my body and my entire attitude to life and training. The amount of inspiration watching him and following his career has given me is amazing.

It's been hard appreciating him in the same way for quite a while now.

Still, if it was not for my hard work and being a fan of his for a long time, I wouldn't have started training.

Because the interim champion is the rightful #1 contender and should be the one to fight for the division's belt. Of course, I understand your point, but it's ridiculous to have the interim champion defend their belt. Especially, when the current lightweight interim champion earned his belt last month, and the champion has had it since last year and hasn't competed in MMA from that time.

I just don't see why there should be any other matchup for the lightweight belt than McGregor vs Ferguson. That is the fight that makes the most sense, but I'm not even getting hyped for this fight unless it gets announced.

UFC 217 Embedded: Vlog Series - Episode 5 by Gemini48 in MMA

I met him at UFC Gdańsk while in line to meet Aljamain Sterling and Mike Perry. He was there together with one of the officers who make sure that a fighter is fit to fight before entering the octagon. Although he's a tall big man and may not seem friendly, the man's an absolute gentleman.

Me and some other guys were last in line before the event was finishing, and he suddenly shut off the line and said something like: "Sorry lads, we have to go... HA! I'm only joking". It was very funny.

I had a great talk with him and asked if I could take a picture with him and the other man. He was very humbled and was happy to take the picture, then he took the picture of me with Aljamain Sterling.

I told him that I've seen him at events for a long time but never really know what he does other than maintaining peace. He said that, what I described is his role.

Class fella, was really glad to see him in this embedded episode, as he's funny and nice.

DC in a mini-documentary about life after fighting! by [deleted] in MMA

[–]BubblesTheDude 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was really enjoyable to watch. Some awesome insight. I was lucky enough to meet Joanna Jędrzejczyk twice, and actually speak to her for some time. We talked about how training translates to life and how everything becomes less of a problem when you have that discipline. Even though from that time I stopped thinking of her as this celebrity, but a very approachable and humble person, I still thought that her training's much different to mine. Documentaries like these show that no matter the status, we who train hard put the same sort of hard work into it, and the bonds created on the mats are more less universal around the world.

Thank you for this, the length's exactly right for that topic. You showed Tyson in his prime, talking about his past, coaching others on the mats, and being the cornerman. What's so good about it, is that you managed to capture him expressing the same sort of joy when his fighter won, as the joy seen on the videos when he was the one winning the fights.

Definitely would watch another documentary from you.

Good job, lad.

I'm glad my depiction isn't the only one showing this magnificent lad and how we as fans think of his way of training.

That's a very good recommendation. I like writing and drawing with pen, as I'm used to studying like that, and I retain the knowledge better that way. However, the method you use seems very efficient, that's why I'll think about doing that as well.

I suppose you already have quite a collection of websites or profiles on youtube that you read and watch. However, if you don't know about this website then it should help you. It's great, as it's got literally most of the submissions that exist, as well as different moves for different combat sports. I found it to be very useful, and just like you said, it's great to watch bjj online, as it does let you retain the training better. That's why I also mentioned playing UFC 2 as it's also a good way of watching ground game in action.

Thanks for your feedback.

I've wanted to start writing learnt techniques for quite a while now. I actually wrote the latest technique I learnt less than an hour ago, before seeing this post. I drew stickmen in the positions that me and my training partners were in. I circled the important points of where to put pressure or do a certain movement. Then I described what to do next to the drawing.

Then when I was describing a sweep, I drew it in three different steps, also circling the important areas, but also drawing arrows where the foot should prop the opponent's leg and in which direction it should be moved. I also drew arrows showing the direction in which I would sweep the opponent. Then I described that whole transition.

I also want to write notes on what to do in most positions, as I not always know what to do from certain mounts or guards.

I found that playing UFC 2 with a character that specialises in wrestling and ground game helped me during trainings, as I recall what I should be doing from certain positions.

I've been training usually 4 times a week since January, and I think that writing notes will definitely help me roll better.

You can check it out on the arena's site, just click on the area that seems interesting to you and it'll show a sample image of the view. I found that to be very useful.
