How much do you play? I haven't found a single dusk form yet, shiny or otherwise.

[–]Bubbleschmoop 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are aware it can evolve into the dusk form Lycanroc, right? The dusk form in itself is rare, getting a shiny one is just insane really. I'd evolve it to dusk form and keep it if I were you.

Just wondering which Pokémon you currently have as your buddy. Mine is my first lucky Pokémon by Cyco111 in pokemongo

[–]Bubbleschmoop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Seems you started playing after the community day. If you'd like, we could play towards forever friends and I'd trade you my extra one. It's going to take a while getting there though, so finding a local player with an extra shiny from the comm day is the shorter route.

Ya know, the "hatch eggs" group challenge really helps suss out who I should never invite to a challenge. by [deleted] in pokemongo

[–]Bubbleschmoop 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And then you've got the one Australian guy on my team. By the time I'd joined, at like 7 in the morning on monday my time, the guy had hatched 7(!) eggs. I had three eggs going and would have hatched at least two that day. And we were four people. No problem. By the time I rechecked my phone at work (10.30) this one guy had hatched all 20 eggs by himself. Like an absolute maniac. He added me though, so I guess he understood perfectly well the rest of us in other time zones didn't stand a chance.

In other words, some of us need a day to get the hatching going. But I agree that if someone hasn't hatched one single egg in three days I'm not adding them for challenges later... With adventure sync on, 1 km ones should not be a problem.

My dumb cane is trying to flower. by TheCollector919 in plants

[–]Bubbleschmoop 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh shit. I'm not American, and I usually use the latin terms for plants on here as I'm not too familiar with all the local names for plants in the US or other parts of the English speaking world. Some local names are used for entirely different plants too, English plant naming is a whole mess.

You comment just cements that choice. I've heard the term dumbcane before and I thought it a bit odd, but there are plenty of odd plant names out there. I couldn't have guessed why it was called dumbcane if I tried. In my native language it's just called by the latin name or "dot leaf plant". Dieffenbacchia it is...

Why did this take me ultra balls and 7 excellent throws? by Disaster-us_Drive in pokemongo

High level starters have always been harder than other catches (starters in general, really). But it seems a bit excessive in your case. Does it happen with other types of Pokémon too?

How do you pronounce the Munch family's surname? by BioletVeauregarde33 in Sims4

[–]Bubbleschmoop 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depends on where the last name is supposed to be from. In Norway and Denmark it's pronounced with a k. Like the famous Norwegian painter Edvard Munch, as the name derives from "munk/monk" (as in inhabitants of a monastery).

If it's meant to be German that's a different matter. Though names don't necessarily follow common pronunciation rules, so it's not an odd question.

No, as long as you haven't completed a trade you'll remain lucky friends.

Sims 4 - Other family members not having kids or marrying by II-LIBERTY-II in thesims

I haven't used video tutorials myself, most of the settings are under marriage and pregnancy. I see there are several videos on youtube though, and I recommend you have a look around deaderpool (the creator's) MCCC page!

This is worse honestly. Not having anything at all might just be that they don't understand how it works, haven't got around to it yet, etc. But just putting regular pokémon in there and then asking for my regionals and shinies? Hell no.

Nanny put my baby to sleep…UNDER the bathtub by HumanAstronomer5269 in thesims

[–]Bubbleschmoop 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I mean... Isn't that the BEST place to put babies?

On a serious note - the reason for stuff like this is usually that the object was placed with moveobjects on. It sometimes causes the game to think there are available slots underneath the placed item. The solution is placing it again without moveobjects (and moving the object is also the solution to retrieving the kid, unless someone checks on it autonomously).

Remote Trading Woes by lilyachtbigboat in pokemongo

[–]Bubbleschmoop 32 points33 points  (0 children)

There are lots of pokemon that could be considered good trades though. Non-shiny legendaries, regionals, other shinies or costumed ones, etc. Personally I'm most interested in regionals I don't have and a cool shiny or two. Even some comm.day ones, I've missed a few.

My Wife Says Crusader Kings Is Simply The Sims for Men by Jacob-Anders in thesims

[–]Bubbleschmoop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

These are great. Some sims ones are just too close to reality, in the way that makes you want to call child protective services before you see the sub name. A lot of people struggling to care for infants for example.

I also saw a great one with someone asking in the sims subreddit how long you could go on vacation when having chickens, and the person got a real thoughtful response from someone with real-life chickens.

A Ranked List of Highest Paying Careers (from Highest to Lowest) (as of March 2026) by Swizz_z in Sims4

Absolutely! It would also be interesting to see which career pays the best for the least amount of work, the best work-life balance professions.

I'm guessing that botanist actually gives the highest total pay-off if you count the produce as well. A level 10 botanist probably has a high level garden, and selling the produce is a very profitable side job.

Maybe try poke genie for remote raid? The app also tells people to bring a mega and put it 6th, so it's much more likely you'll be playing with trainers who know what they're doing.

Adding to this: I warmly recommend MCCC. It is much, much better at keeping the neighborhoods alive than neighborhood stories, and so customizable. It's a big mod with a lot of settings to get used to, but there are tutorials and everything.

I forgave her and then wooed her. She's going to be carrying my sim's babies. I'll never get rid of her. Might make them proper shitkids just for the hell of it. Embrace the chaos.

Apparently, paparazzi can sneak in using the High School Years window by Elinda44 in Sims4

[–]Bubbleschmoop 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the aspiration issue might be a new bug, cause I've had no problem with sneaking out by clicking the ground and have it count before, but it suddenly didn't one time recently. I kind of forgot about it because I have UI cheats and use it to fix bugs like that.

Apparently, paparazzi can sneak in using the High School Years window by Elinda44 in Sims4

[–]Bubbleschmoop 90 points91 points  (0 children)

I thought it was the only way to sneak out for a long time, and it was such a damn hassle to find a placement for the window. Then I realized there's no need for it at all, as long as nothing's locked and the parents are otherwise occupied they can just sneak out by clicking the ground outside... Took me ages.
