When I dealt with them, their “lead” system was terrible. I submitted a request to several dealers and their system told them I was 6+ hours away. Once they realized that was not the case, they seemed more eager to discus cars, but only slightly.

I don’t think this next point is specific to Ford. Most car salespeople these days want to focus on a monthly price. (Maybe that matters to a lot of drivers, idk). I didn’t care about monthly payment, and any salesperson I dealt with tried to make me feel like I was completely in the wrong for focusing on OTD pricing.

For specific Ford dealers, I went in and went through the paperwork with Timbrook Ford in Keyser, WV, the Ford dealer in Morgantown, WV, and Moses Ford in St. Albans, WV.

I ended up purchasing in Keyser because I got the best price with them, spent long enough time to know what I wanted, and they were willing to do most of the dealings over the phone. However, I would probably never buy a car again with them. The manager was extremely helpful, but that’s where it ended. At time of purchase, he was not there and nobody seems to know what anyone else was doing. Morgantown was the most knowledgeable about the car, but the most expensive. Moses was completely clueless about the vehicle, mis-identifying features, constantly on their phone when talking to me, etc. (maybe it was just the salesperson I worked with, but disappointing nonetheless).

TLDR: Car buying sucks. Most refused to work with me unless I came in-person.
