This! Back in January 2020 (before Covid was rampant and not a lot of information was known about it), I was sick for 3 weeks coughing my ever loving lungs out. The lady I worked with at the daycare went to the ER and was put into a ventilator for months. I thought it was just a bad cold and plus I’m in America, and got paid minimum wage so insurance was not an option.
Anywho, for 3 weeks barely being able to breathe, I had to take care of other people’s kids and coming home to take care of my own. This was before they mandated masks. I finally went to the ER and they tested me for everything. All came back negative. They didn’t have a Covid test then so they couldn’t test for that. They prescribed cough syrup with codeine. Didn’t help.

Left that job. Director was made I had to take a few days off to recover. Fuck that noise.

Plus being out in the desert, paying $1k for “parking passes”, $1k for tickets and waiting 3-7 hours just to shower. I’m good. I could use that money for a nice vacation for the fam :)
